The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History will return to the Magic Kingdom this Christmas for a limited time run from December 23 to December 31 2019.

The Magic Kingdom debuted the new live show in October 2016 and became a popular addition before being cut in October 2019.

Taking place in the windows above the Hall of Presidents and Heritage House, "The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History" brings the Muppets to life right before you unlike anything else at Walt Disney World.

Hosted by James “J.J.” Jefferson, town crier of Liberty Square, and Sam Eagle, the show takes place several times daily, just outside The Hall of Presidents. Also appearing is Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and The Great Gonzo.

Here is a video from the very first performance of "The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History" - the signing of the Declaration of Independence

That ship has sailed. (Or reverse-launched, in this case.)

It's nice it's back.....Still wish they had other shows they can use even a Muppets Liberty Square Christmas layover would have been nice so at least some songs they sing are used...

Great Moments in History proves that Disney does know how to educate and entertain at the same time. This exact approach should have been used with Nemo (and friends), in The Living Seas. If EPCOTs overhaul followed the Muppets lead in Liberty Square, I might not be so averse to characters invading that park.

I wish they could do a “great Moments in Hollywood” at dhs. Basically the great muppet movie ride concept, but on a great moments with history budget. Would be really fun.

I am heart broken this ever went away in the first place. Talk about a perfect marriage of IP and unused space where the addition of IP actually enhances and not distracts. Come on, Disney....

Greetings my fellow Americans...(Shifty eyes) And others We love that show so much. It’s that “we’re almost going to offend but not quite because...it’s the muppets” style of writing. Hopefully I can catch it while it’s performing again

I could not believe the crowd in MouseGear on Saturday night. I'm not crowd or people averse, but I was getting a bit of anxiety over the amount stuffed in there.

This is crazy. This and all the other entertainment cut should be restored. Currently at Tokyo Disney amazed at the amount of entertainment offerings has me shook. Tokyo Disneyland has almost too much streetmosphere not to mention that they are running 3 parades a day including the best day (dream up) and by far best night parade around and that’s just at one park. You should see the Christmas show at Disney Sea! WDW and DL should be ashamed.

The Declaration of Independence one is the better one in my opinion. That being said, I’m glad to see this return in any capacity, and I wish it would stick around. It’s a well-executed integration of IP in Liberty Square.

You mean professional equity actor? Yes. That may also save them $$$ by not having an equity stage manager but not sure if that’s the case or not.

I'd put money on it.

Odds that they only show Paul Revere to avoid paying the ground-level kid?
