The new animated scene based on Disney and Pixar's 'Coco' will make its debut at Magic Kingdom's Mickey's PhilharMagic on November 12 2021.

The musical number 'Un Poco Loco' has already opened to guests at Disney California Adventure park and Disneyland Paris, and comes to Walt Disney World as part of the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration.

According to Disney, this will be the first time Disney and Pixar animators have worked on a creative endeavor where characters from both animation studios will be seen together on screen.

The film's original composer, Germaine Franco, has produced a unique 'Coco' score for the new scene in Mickey's PhilharMagic.

No scenes are being removed to make way for Coco, with the new sequence being an addition to the how.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with film based attractions but now with digital they should really lean into that and add some variability to attractions. There's a bunch of rides and films that could be easily enhanced by providing different footage options.

They did a nice job on this. Should have been 10/1, but we dare not suggest 10/1 is a bigger deal for WDW than Disney+ Day…

All Digital.. THANK GOD!

Still would be neat to see different versions of the show similar how Star Tours does the different destinations..

Hope the upgrades help. I couldn't even watch it when we were there in August. I had to take the glasses off it was so bad.

On my list, Disney+ Day is option 73. Somehow that won!

Four dates that would have been better imo to launch this segment: - October 1st: 50th Anniversary duh - By October 15th: Last day of Hispanic Heritage Month - October 31st to November 2nd: Typical Day of the Dead timeline - The same day as Disneyland and Paris 🙄

Glad to hear about the projector upgrades! I'm hoping this means it will be permanently restored to its former glory.

Even if it's some type of nagware version. Seems a missed opportunity for sure. Can't believe the mouse is not promoting it. Think of all the potential subscribers. Must have slipped Bob's mind.

Am I imagining it or was this announced at one time?

I am continually shocked that Disney+ isn’t free in the resorts. You can’t watch everything during your stay. It would be a brilliant way to hook people.

The press release makes it sound like all aspects of the corporation are required to celebrate D+ in some way... In honor of the second anniversary of Disney+, subscribers will have access to promotions and experiences across the Company. Disney Parks and Resorts around the world and Disney Cruise Line will roll out the blue carpet for Disney+ fans with some surprise and delight moments including photo opportunities, character moments and more; will have special offers; popular network shows and syndicated series will join in the celebration along with talent and series across ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN and ESPN+, Freeform, FX, Hulu, National Geographic in the U.S., and on owned channels abroad. Just imagine Simba at the beginning of the Lion King being held up for all the animals to bow down to. Simba is D+. The animals are the other operating segments of Disney.

I know nothing of anything like this happening, but what if Philhar became "Presented by Disney+" or had some kind of Disney+ branding integrated into it.
