In an announcement today, Disney has made it clear that the Country Bear Jamboree at the Magic Kingdom will not be replaced anytime soon, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary on October 1 2021.

Posted via the official Disney Parks Blog, Disney said:

Thanks for “bearing” with us this week. With all of the news we’ve shared, we “fur-got” to mention our friends over at the Country Bears. Our Imagineers are always looking at ways to bring more magic to our guests through experiences and stories they know, but contrary to rumors, Country Bear Jamboree is not going into hibernation any time soon. In fact, we’re looking forward to celebrating its 50th anniversary on Oct. 1, 2021, with Henry, the Five Bear Rugs and the rest of the gang. Until then, “we hope that you’ll be comin’ back again; that you’ll drop in and see us now and then.”

The Country Bear Jamboree went through a major refurbishment in 2012, but there had been recent internet speculation that the Jamboree may have been closing in the near future to make way for a new show.

Disney also made another announcement earlier this week indicating that the Magic Kingdom's Tiki Room will also continue.

I’m good with that. A brand new SRS has the freedom to expand outward and not be limited to the old If You Had Wings/Dreamflight track. And best of all...dare I say it....you could build TWO tracks that routinely come close to each other.

Along with space ranger spin

A Toy Story animatronic stage show would be a GREAT addition...to Toy Story Land. Leave CBJ ALONE.

I love that site. Makes it easy to keep up on rumors without having to wade through hundreds of posts and he always sites sources.

I didn't know that, and that's even funnier. He's got nothing to lose but nothing to gain.

So basically the bottom line here is that it was just "fake news" and at best gossip or at worst an intentional rumor that the Country Bears and/or Tiki Birds were going to be replaced? From what I am reading in the comments it looks like it. I am happy to hear that if it is true. CBJ is only in Tokyo as far as I know. It belongs in Frontierland in WDW.

Right?! Between rumors posted on various message boards and mentioned on podcasts and competent guesswork, you could correctly predict some changes. But that’s not the same as having a source, writing a story that sounds definitive about these changes, and then claiming credit for breaking “news.”

It was described by the site that shall not be named as a full-on replacement. However, as mentioned earlier in this thread, they were the only source to be that specific about a potential replacement, so take that as you will.

Was the plan to have Woody be one of the side acts of the show or were they going to remove the entire show for Toy Story content? If the former I think it could have worked. Tom Hanks can be pretty creative. Still hope they put a show like this in DHS.

They do. And they love to play the victim and are surrounded by self-created drama.

Is that surprising? Someone who focuses their whole life on Disney parks (aka lives in Fantasyland) lacks maturity? Have seen this in Star Wars fandom as well. Some of these folks lose sight of what real life is and Disney because their reality.

There seem to be a handful of people on the web who are into Disney who have the same kind of personality. I can think of three others just off the top of my head (although they're on Facebook).

He doesn't have and hasn't had media access for anything (for a long, long time), if that's what you were implying. A chunk of unofficial Disney sites don't. It's late (or would it be considered early?) here, so I could've misread what you were saying.

It would be incredibly stupid for our old friend Clickbait to not only lose all credibility by being shut down by the official Disney Parks blog twice, but then to throw a complete temper tantrum about it and get cut off completely from previews and anything else. So he had better buck up his ideas or forget about his website being anything other then a laughing stock.
