The bridge that will make walking from Disney's Grand Floridan Resort to the Magic Kingdom a reality is getting much closer to becoming operational.
In these latest pictures you can see the bridge in its closed position. The swing bridge design allows the bridge to swing open, hinged from the right side, to allow the Water Pageant and other watercraft to pass through. The land either side has been significantly built up to meet the bridge.
Although the bridge appears to be operational, there is still a lot of work to be done in completing the walkway on land. Disney has not yet made any announcement on the project or given an opening timeframe. Construction began in October 2019, and based on progress so far, it still seems to be months away from being guest ready.
