Adventures by Disney is offering the chance to take an Arctic Expedition Cruise this summer with former Walt Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde.

On July 10-19, Joe will join the expedition and share insights into his 40-year career with Disney, including how travel played a significant role in his creative process of designing Disney properties worldwide. His vision and imagination were instrumental in creating Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Pandora: The World of Avatar, and Aulani.

The itinerary begins in Oslo, where guests will be met by our Adventure Guides, who attend to every detail during this trip. The following day, guests will fly to Svalbard and board a luxurious PONANT expedition cruise ship, their home for the next seven days. Once onboard, they will meet the Expedition Leaders and naturalists who will guide guests on daily excursions to encounter and become immersed in nature all around.

During his sessions, Joe will share stories from his illustrious career, including his passion for conservation and nature.  The expedition starts at $13799, and takes place from July 10 through July 29 2023.

You can find out more about the expedition at the Adventures by Disney website

It's a favorite attraction of mine... But it's been a long time coming. At this point, I'm just relieved it's finally happened. I've spent the last 10 years paranoid of it closing forever. Then the tease with the extended refurb recently... Super happy they gave me enough time to plan a goodbye! Lol.

Because the kingdom of Hyrule needs to go somewhere.

Why are they taking down Poseidon's Fury? That is a marvel of technology achievement.

I never said anyone should be mad at Disney for promoting a high end trip…if one were in the disposable income category, more power to them…I certainly don’t begrudge anyone for signing up…

WondersOfLifeApr 13, 2023

I just spent $1,300 for two people to visit Universal for one day to say goodbye to Poseidon's Fury.. lol Two park pass, express passes (since only one day), and cabana bay. Still a bit pricey, but doable I guess.

Why not?? Why is it one or the other? Companies that I deal with all have a "luxury" offering. Believe it or not even in this economy there are people who have plenty of disposable income. This always baffles me, people here are almost mad that Disney dare caters to high income folks. This trip is way too rich for my blood but I'm not mad that the company is trying to real in big fish. Not everyone is struggling

I'm assuming you will then apply the same standards to DCL, because they are far outside the cruising standard as far as prices go and have been far over-priced ever since their debut. Even with our economy the way it is, there are many people who are still able to afford luxuries such as this ~ that's who this particular arm of the company caters to.

They are good too, highly recommend the Backstage Magic week in LA to any super fan, who can afford it.

It’s not like no one here has ever heard of it…if there’s one group of people that HAVE heard of it, it’s our group of super fans…it’s just that with our economy the way it is, rooms are getting discounted, they can’t put fannies in the Galactic Starcruiser, many don’t think now is the time to be touting a super expensive cruise (even if it IS with Joe…it’s not like he’s gonna be buying us a round for sitting with him). I would LOVE to “bend his ear” (the one without the earrings), lol about his trips to gather items for EE, I do think he would tire REALLY quickly on answering questions on why NRJ is so short, and why the Yeti doesn’t work, but I find him fascinating…I consider him one of the last of Disney’s best.

Some of y'all act like you've never heard of Adventures by Disney before. LOL That arm of the company has been around for 18 years.

Sadly more proof Disney sees itself as a premium provider rather than a family budget friendly company. Still, they have the market out there, so what do you expect. Just go to a park on any given day and you'll see the $5k, plus the price of park ticket punters having a guided tour of the park because spontaneity is now a dirty word at Disney Towers.

Gotta keep that C.E.I. score high when you're told too!

“His shirt” is a Dan Flashes exclusive. It likely costs the same amount as his entire per diem for this entire nine day cruise. And remember, just like the Disney parks, if you’re in line at Dan Flashes when it closes - STAY IN LINE. You can still buy a complicated shirt.

Why does his shirt look like its having a stroke in that photo?
