Disney will add a third virtual queue to My Disney Experience on April 13, 2023, for the runDisney Merchandise Shop at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Attendees of the 2023 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend looking to purchase event weekend merchandise on the first day of the Expo will be asked to join a virtual queue.

How to Join the Virtual Queue

In order to use the virtual queue on day one of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, you'll need to download the My Disney Experience app and ensure location services are turned on.

  • Step 1: Open the My Disney Experience app and navigate to the Virtual Queues section on the Welcome Screen.

  • Step 2: Select "Join Virtual Queue" on the My Queues screen, and then select "runDisneyMerchandise Shop." Guests can request to join the virtual queue at 8:30 AM Eastern Time on April 13, 2023.

  • Step 3: Select the Guests (up to 6 people total) in your shopping party. Select "Join Virtual Queue" once more. Note: All members of your shopping party must be added to your My Disney Experience Friends & Family list prior to joining the virtual queue.

  • Step 4: If there are open spots in the virtual queue, you'll see a confirmation screen with an estimated wait time. Your estimated wait time will be based on the Expo opening time of 10:00 AM Eastern Time, so don't be alarmed if your wait appears long!

  • Step 5: You'll receive a push notification directly to your mobile device when your group is ready to return. Tapping on the push notification will take you to your digital entry code. Once received, you will have one hour to arrive at the AdventHealth Arena at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

  • Step 6: Upon your arrival, follow the signs to the check-in area and prepare to show the Cast Member your digital entry code or MagicBand.

Important Information

  • Gold and Platinum Club runDisney Members do not need to join the virtual queue to access their early shopping windows during the first day of the Expo.
  • Guests can join the virtual queue from the comfort of their hotel room or home, up to approximately 45 miles away from Walt Disney World Resort.
  • Each Guest enrolled will receive a digital entry code to present for entry. If you are unable to find your digital entry code, you can locate it by going to the 3-line hamburger icon in the app (?) and selecting "Virtual Queues." From here, you will be able to access your digital entry code.
  • The virtual queue is only needed for the runDisney Merchandise Shop on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
  • Merchandise is subject to availability and inventory may sell out.

I went. I enjoyed the party. Was it worth the $85? Probably not but it was basically H2O Glow Nights for runDisney. So very little waits for anything. Low crowds, popcorn, ice cream and soda included. Character meets and a dance party. My group had a blast tho.

Congrats to everyone who participated in STS Weekend! Ran the 5K with my 5YO. It was her second 5K (first was the Cast 5K at DAK last December), but her first rD event. And first fully completed on her own (she rode on my husband’s shoulders for a bit last time). She was losing steam in the last half mile, but a couple kind ladies gave her bracelets and that perked her up. Made it back home with time to spare before school started. No PRs in the 10K and 10Mi, but I was close to my previous times. Still wish the 10Mi course was run backwards - that stretch on World Dr is such a mental hurdle. Now it’s that long wait until W&D - looking forward to year 15!

Did anyone pay to go to the Splash??! How was it? Even if I ran, based on principle, I would not have gone. A park ticket is much cheaper, and all other after parties were included in registration. AK for Everest MGM for Tower 13K Epcot for Wine & Dine MVMCP for Wine & Dine (1 year) …and don’t forget many race registrations used to include a 1-Day Park Hopper for the weekend. In addition to a discounted ticket store.

Tomorrow, running through Wednesday I plan on starting my virtual Springtime Surprise challenge! All three races in succession days. I plan on taking it easy but still running at a decent pace as I really haven’t ran as much as I have wanted to in the past few weeks.

Be safe everyone! I'll be there Sunday morning but not the rest of the weekend. Currently in Houston

It's been in the mid 80s during Princess Weekend. 2018 was brutal.

So, when Princess Wknd reg comes around in a couple months and the Princesses are great please remind me of these temps so I run Princess instead. But if they aren't lets ignore this 🤣

*Closes eyes* T-shirt, spirit jersey, Mickey ears, a Loungefly bag… Whoa! What a guess!! 😂 My wife will be there next weekend to help a friend with the 5k. Long story but it was not something expected or planned well in advance.
