Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will debut an all new fireworks show for 2019 - replacing the 14 year old Hallo-Wishes show.

According to Disney, "this new show will feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks that come together to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. The show will take guests along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. The journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains."

An update to the Halloween Party fireworks show has been expected since the debut of Happily Ever After, which uses the full array of the Magic Kingdom's special effects hardware, including extensive use of projectors, lighting and lasers.

With the exception of a couple 2018 parties that tested a higher cap the 2019 cap was the same as 2018 and higher than 2017.

Interesting how this is the first time in 4 years they've had more than 5 sold out nights. My guess is the cap was lowered to accommodate those with the party pass.

And for the record, this year's MNSSHP saw the MOST number of sold out nights, put it on par with 2014 and 2015 (which tied themselves at selling out 11 nights). Courtesy of someone over on The DIS.

Final night for the party pass too. It’s going to be long lines for me 😬 I have a plan, we’ll see how it goes.

Hooray! And the final time I have to see the sold out announcement in my news feed! :p

Only if you go on a party day. Non-party days are insane at MK.

The Great GonzoOct 28, 2019

I think it is great other people want to go during these parties. Maybe it will make it less crowded when I go during the day.

We went to the 10/20 party and it wasn't crowded at all, maybe we got lucky then again we been to 3 parties in the last 4 years and the crowds seem pretty consistent, we never waited more than few minutes on any of the rides most were walk ons, we got a decent spot for the fireworks like 10 min before show time. The only complaint I have and this isn't just a party complaint is this Disney needs to figure out a better flow before and during parades people start getting spots way early and it clogs everything up esp in frontier land and you cant get anywhere, but other than that i thought the party was really good, crowd wise, we never even had to wait for candy the all lines were flowing. I really think it all depends on what day you go

And.... it wasn't even mentioned.

The Great GonzoOct 24, 2019

I think the new annual party ticket has only made it more crowded. I guess Disney wanted the Vloggers to be able to come back over and over again to advertise for them.

Agreed, I am sure there are ways to get into "sold out" events for sure.

Unless I worked there, you couldn't pay me enough to be at WDW on NYE.
