Monsieur Paul Restaurant at EPCOT's France pavilion is now open for reservations.

The signature table service restaurant will reopen its doors to guests on Tuesday October 18 2022 with a new prix fix menu - The Gastronomic Meal of The French. You can make reservations now via My Disney Experience.

Priced at $175 per person, Monsieur Paul will only be available to guests age 10 and above, and carries a dress code that "adheres to the restaurant's sophisticated and upscale aesthetic." Note that a $100 cancellation fee per person will apply to no-shows and cancellations within 72 hours.

Formerly Bistro de Paris restaurant in EPCOT, Monsieur Paul is located just upstairs from Les Chefs de France, the French Brasserie in the France Pavilion.

The new prix fixe menu offers a gastronomic meal––one in which people devote themselves to the art of “eating and drinking well.”

Very popular with the French and deeply familiar to them, the gastronomic meal has developed over centuries, constantly evolving, and has been passed down from generation to generation. The meal entails rites which include the search for good seasonal and local products, references to a codified repertoire of recipes, culinary skills, the setting of a beautiful table, the succession of courses and the pairing of dishes with wine.

The gastronomic meal of the French was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010.

It's insane.

Even worse for a large party. Ugh.

$100 per person...

I have eaten Monsieur Paul twice in the past. Both times we came away feeling the food was good/fine but limited and the service inattentive/inexperienced. It was not something we would repeat in that form, at that price. The room was half full both times at $119 per person, I am wondering how it will perform at $195. Interested to see if reported ratings of the food and service will go up and match the price.

Good lord! I'm going to France for 4 days in January and spending less than that on flights and the hotel!

Mon dieu, Paul!

The $100 cancellation within 72 hours is a "no" for me. Before a trip, I'm routinely tweaking my ADRs right up until the last minute. It's one thing to be charged $10 within 24 hours but $100 within 3 days? Forget it. Edit: That pricing. Um, no.

The menu has been updated with new pricing -

Shame, I am not a big enough eater for that kind of a dinner. Also only eat poultry and have a werido allergen so usually prix fixe ends poorly for me.

Looks like an attempt to corner the just married/just retired market, but we’ll see… Would actually fill a niche if truly exceptional food.

Being a non-Disney owned restaurant, it needs to have a menu designed for maximum profitability. This menu is low cost max profit. For perspective they had two prix fixe offerings prior to shutdown. A Three Course and Seven Course for $89 and $119 respectively along with an alacarte menu. The three course was redeemable for 2 DDP credits. Compare that to the current $175 $195 offering.....
