Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace switching locations late next week

The Magic Kingdom's Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace will be switching locations late next week.

The two Adventureland snack kiosks will swap positions, each taking their existing menu to the switched location.

The move may be related to the reconfiguration of the Liberty Tree Tavern and the new restaurant being built in the Adventureland Veranda. The space currently occupied by the Aloha Isle may be impacted by these changes.

Aloha Isle is of course the home to the world famous Dole Whip, and Sunshine Tree Terrace the home to the Citrus Swirl.

He's back!!!!! YAY! Great news. :) I'm a little incredulous as to why this happened... but he's back. The placement is a little weird, the new poster isn't as good as the last one, and there's no new sign... but a bit of MK and Florida history is back in WDW. I am pleased with that.

Would it really be that hard to bring the tree back?

Its not as nice as the previous themed set up, but I guess putting him up on a boring shelf is better than nothing.

I stopped there today for a Citrus Swirl. I don't feel he's as prominent as he was in the Sunshine Tree Terrace, but of course there isn't as much space. I didn't even realize today was *the day* for his return, I just happened to duck down a little and saw that he was there. It was nice to see him, but I still miss the old setup. It makes logistical sense for the switch, especially with construction walls surrounding the area, but I still don't have to like it. ;)

I think its the same one? but good news indeed

Seems Disney planned for him to go MIA. They're selling T-Shirts and posters to go along with his re-release. Gee, thanks for the offer to take more money off my hands Disney, but I just wanted him back. ;)

I'd like it if they sold it more places, but it needs to stay in Adventureland. Hooray! That better be an awesome figure for it to take so long.

great idea,,,its odd that he didnt return especially with new plush now available,,,I think they are just hoping people will forget about it and not care so they dont have to pay someone to put him back up. :banghead:

Why don't they move Orange Bird and Citrus Swirl over to the Animal Kingdom...They could do a special location for him and all...and that cold treat would be very welcome in the hot hot Animal Kingdom...

RIP Orange Bird

Maybe they are building a new animatronic Orange Bird!

Sped2424May 14, 2015

Maybe they are there due to all the water and vegetation areas. Plus it's the only land in the park with a water way that feeds into the 7 seas lagoon.
