Disney has announced that the five-star Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris will reopen on January 25, 2024 following a major renovation project.

The completely reimagined hotel is inspired by Disney royal stories, such as "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty," "Sword in the Stone," "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," "The Princess and the Frog," "Tangled," "Frozen," "Moana" and "Raya and the Last Dragon."

The Lobby

The grand lobby takes inspiration from world-famous European castles, blending materials with touches of ivory and gold alongside unique lighting, sounds, and scents that evolve according to the time of day. A chandelier made of Bohemian crystal representing the park's iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle takes center stage. As you step inside, Royal Greeters will be ready to welcome you for your special stay while La Troupe Royale Disney, a joyful duo of comedians, will be on hand to perform surprise sing-alongs and royal tales.

Guest rooms

From the Superior, Deluxe, and Castle Club rooms to the Signature Suites, royal stories can be found in the artwork and subtle décor accents.

The resort includes 16 Signature Suites; the Princely and the Royal Suites will feature unique design elements directly inspired by Disney classics such as "Sleeping Beauty," "Cinderella," "Rapunzel," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Frozen." From Aurora's magical color-changing dress to a shining Sundrop flower and even Queen Elsa's Ice Castle.

All-New Restaurants, Bar and Lounges

At the Royal Banquet, you are invited to attend a royal feast amidst a gallery of paintings featuring Disney Animation's royal families, such as King Triton and his seven daughters from "The Little Mermaid" and even Kronk from "The Emperor's New Groove." Dishes here are inspired by the homes of the beloved Disney Princess characters, like a Spicy Cajun Shrimp dish paying tribute to Tiana. You will also have the opportunity to meet and dine with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends dressed in regal attire exclusive to the hotel.

Inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, as well as paying homage to the "Beauty and the Beast" ballroom, La Table de Lumière will offer table service dining among elegant mirrors, rose-emblazoned china and thorn-themed napkins. Its French fine dining showcases local, gourmet delicacies such as roses from Provins and sea treasures like lobster, monkfish, and sole fished off the coast of France. To top off the meal, a celebration cake inspired by Belle's rose is on the menu.

You can also enjoy your regal meal in the company of Royal Disney Couples, including Belle and her Prince, Aurora and Philip, Tiana and Naveen, or Jasmine and Aladdin in all-new, exclusive regalia.

For those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, Fleur de Lys Bar offers a view of the hotel's Fantasia Gardens alongside flower-themed signature cocktails and a selection of quality wines. An afternoon tea or a Champagne experience is also available.

Luxury Spa Experiences

At Disneyland Hotel Spa by Clarins and Health Club, expert practitioners can provide classic and signature treatments. To continue the rest and relaxation, Crystal Pool invites guests of all ages for a leisurely dip beneath the glass and metal roof that was inspired by the Laeken Royal Greenhouses in Brussels.

A Royal Experience for Kids

At the Royal Kids Club, designed as a magical library, children aged three to seven can step into their favorite Disney royal stories as they take part in interactive and augmented reality experiences.

The Royal Collection Boutique offers a variety of makeover packages for kids — and even adults, too. This add-on experience ends with a professional portrait session, including a photo print and frames.

In so many ways. :D Speaking about Adventure, three weeks later and "DAW" still has not grown on me at all. I am curious & nervous what integrating the sponsor (Vittel) throughout the experience will mean. Let's hope it's not Pooh getting stuck in a plastic water canister rather than the honey pot or water from Belle's French village fountain getting pumped into a Nestlé water wagon.

Wrong park. ;)

DLP also announced Vittel as a sponsor for the attraction. I guess that meant some extra funding and some special requirements by Nestlé/Vittel. Maybe the Nestlé folks also wanted some more contemporary movie/scene to be added. The press release also makes it sound like DLP is getting their own "Journey of Water". 🤣 "As part of this transformation, Le Pays des Contes de Fées will welcome Vittel as its presenting sponsor, extending its longstanding corporate alliance relationship with Disneyland Paris. Guests will discover an updated marquee and new décor elements in the attraction’s queue line, integrating the sponsor throughout the experience and celebrating the role that water has played as a vital source of inspiration for magical adventures in Disney stories." That makes some sense to me, the other changes were announced months ago, and it seems weird to just be like "oh by the way, we're adding Up too..."

It's at least closer in connection to a classic fairy tale or storybook than...Up.

Agreed. I did say it was inspired by The Snow Queen. But the plots of most of the Disney movies do at least include the main story of the original that inspired it. Frozen doesn’t.

You could say that for many of the fairytales that were 'Disneyfied' in animation, it doesn't mean they weren't the inspiration.

Ooooh, you went there! 😉 It was inspired by The Snow Queen. As far as I recall there was no sister in HCA’s tale. Much more pertinently there is no kidnapping and rescue storyline in Frozen.

Frozen is based on the Snow Queen, albeit in quite a modified way similar to Tangled on Rapunzel.

Frozen isn’t based on a book either. I agree with @mrflo , this ride should be for movies based on storybooks. And I love UP too, just not for here.

Thinking about it a bit more I wonder if this was a last minute addition with some extra funding... The new scenes were planned before COVID but just got delayed. The Frozen and Winnie the Pooh scenes I think are quite sympathetic to the current ride. This however is not. The concept art doesn't even match that for the Frozen/Pooh scenes which suggests it was done at different times or by a different team?

Look who holds all the purse strings now.

I absolutely love the movie Up. But this does not make any sense at all. It's not even meeting the most basic criteria to be based on a book. If only there was some World where Up & its characters would have a perfect home instead... The creative direction at WDI Paris quite often seems to be all over the place these days. Please send someone like Tony Baxter or Joe Rohde to guide them on some core principles before the next round of big investments starts. Nowadays the creative team behind Europa-Park seems to more inspired with a lower budget than what could come across as some bland Corporate/Marketing-driven project management in DLP.

Because Pixar? IDK
