New direct bus service from Walt Disney World theme parks to Disney Springs

Getting to Disney Springs from a Walt Disney World theme park is about to get much easier.

Beginning August 28 2016, there will be a new direct bus service from all Walt Disney World theme parks to Disney Springs from 4pm to 11pm  (or until 2 hours following park close, whichever is earlier) daily.

The new service is one-way only, meaning to return to a theme park, guests will need to first go to a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and then transfer to a park bus from there.

Disney Springs recently opened its new bus terminal, which has much more capacity than the old Downtown Disney stops, and drops guests off right in the center of Disney Springs.

All TL buses go to DS.

So there's no direct bus from the water parks to DS still?

I am very curious how crowded the buses are, particularly at park closing or at four when they start to run. Anyone info would be appreciated.

Still mentioned at disneyworld.com One-way bus service from the 4 Disney theme parks operates daily from 4:00 PM until 11:00 PM or 2 hours after theme parks close, whichever is earlier. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/bus-transportation/

I believe so. At least at Studios, they still offer busses from Studios to Springs (one way) after 4 pm.

Just curious if this bus service is still going on to the parks & DS?

That has always been the case. Exactly!

That is indeed what it is for. Time will tell if people decide that it is also a way to ease up on the ability to get free parking. Heck they were doing it when they had to go to resorts to get to AND from the parks, I don't see why this won't be even more attractive to them. We will see, I guess. Doesn't really matter to me one way or the other.

Not everyone drives (and no one is forcing ou to take a bus...)

Jon81ukAug 26, 2016

If you are an off-site visitor just drive to DS from the park, the bus adds no value to you. If you leave a park late in the day and are not planning to re-enter the park there is no point taking a bus to DS to take a bus back and then a parking tram. This new bus service is mainly for resort guests who will go straight from DS back to their hotel.

I have always wished that I would be able to do this . Always hated having to return to the resort to catch another bus to head to DTD ( I know Disney Springs ) . Just like its still hard not to say MGM to me I just say Studios
