I have dined at the Yacht Club Galley several times. When I was a cast member working in I.T., the galley was something of an "employee dining room"... meaning that many of the salaried cast would have business lunches there.
The food tends to be light fare; sandwiches, salads and pasta for lunch. At breakfast, they had a great buffet plus an amazing coffee cake and bottomless fresh squeezed orange juice.
In maybe a dozen visits, breakfast and lunch were always very, very good and enjoyable.

I dont really want to go into detail but lets just say my party of 12 had to send back 6 items twice. We were treated well by the staff and the manager. However the food was just not good at all. There are plenty of other places to eat at Disney and I would stay away from this one.

The Yacht Club Galley has a casual feel in a formal setting. The food is outstanding, particularly the chicken and the salads (my wife could not get over how fresh the Caesar salad dressing was). It's a bit expensive, though.
