The registration website is now open for Walt Disney World Annual Passholder previews of TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom.

TRON Lightcycle Run Annual Passholder preview registration link.

Passholders arriving at the web page are being placed into a waiting room, with estimated times varying from just minutes to "more than an hour." The website states that "availability is limited and being in the queue does not guarantee the ability to register."

Annual Passholder previews of TRON Lightcycle Run are expected to begin on March 4 2023, and continue through March 10 2023. A number of timeslots will be available for selection on each date.

Once you have secured a date and time for your TRON Lightcycle Run preview, Disney will automatically assign you a Disney Park Pass reservation for Magic Kingdom. You do not need to make a park reservation.

51! we grow 'em big here on long island. speaking of that, though, three separate height checks on him. so if you have a child that's close, know that they're going to check thoroughly.

MisterPenguinMar 15, 2023

About a quarter of 6 year olds hit that height about 3/4 of the way thru their sixth year.

AylaMar 15, 2023

Your 6 year old is at least 48 inches tall?

baymenxpacMar 15, 2023

rode last week with my 6-year-old. we enjoyed it, but we both far prefer guardians. tron is cool, and i think maybe the coolest part is the effect when you're digitized and the queue appears.

It wasn't. Disney IT is terrible and has been for decades. Routine emails that should be sent (especially to AP's) never have been.

A tip for future previews: Many did not receive the confirmation email when they registered for the preview. I was one of them. I received the initial email with the registration link but no confirmation email or reminder a handful of days before my preview. When I went to renew my AP there was an option to "Show Passholder Details" on the "Order Summary" page. There is a typo in my email address under my passholder details. I don't know if this typo resulted in me not receiving the emails after I signed up, however it's possible that could be the cause.

Is it my imagination or is the Magic Kingdom version of Tron missing some of the ride elements of the Shanghai version? For example, the ending only has one lightcycle crashing instead of a multiple bikes crashing. Also there seems to be less mirroring. The ride track looks pretty much the same inside. It just looks like a lot of elements are missing. Shanghai's looks more crowded with stuff.

We rode yesterday and can confirm the tapping into another Park before arriving issue. We went to Epcot early A.M. and did have the issue with entering MK. Had to go to Guest Services and get it corrected; it took 30 mins or so but was corrected. No big deal or major hassle. No issue with entering Tron....just scan and go Ride was great, but fell well short of Guardians; it wasn't the best plan to ride Tron following Guardians as Guardians might be the best coaster ever,,,,,

Rode tonight and printed the confirmation like it said to do. Was never asked for it once. They scanned our bands twice (once to get into the area and then once when you enter the main area of the queue). Very orderly and fast process despite the line backing up to the Speedway- it moved VERY fast, however. Agree with the general consensus- great ride (with an awesome launch and opening sequence) but far too short. Guardians is definitely the stronger attraction. One thing I did find odd was the complete lack of any kind of storytelling. Like…there was not even an attempt made, unless it’s just not ready yet.

I never got a park reservation added. Though we already had MK. I did get my confirmation email and reminder email though. The no re-riding is a bummer. Wonder if more were let in to take that away?

Thanks to those who took the time to answer my question about bringing the confirmation. We are looking forward to riding on Friday.

I attended my preview yesterday. I never received an email after initial sign up. Entered Magic Kingdom as usual and made my way to the TRON area around my designated time. They had an orderly process and I headed to the back of the line where there was a person with a sign. They were grouping people together by time. Once at the front they scanned Magic Bands/Tickets and we entered next to the store. There was a long line but then we were told if we were not doing ride swap with children we could proceed to the left and further up. From there it was just the standard process. We rode the ride and left the area. It took about 1 hour. Area Atmosphere: 9.5/10. Ride: 8/10.

I had it saved on my phone as a PDF, but wasn't asked for it. I was asked for it during the Remy preview and didn't have a copy, but was still granted access to the ride.
