Celebrating the past, present and future of Epcot - the park tonight debuted its new nighttime spectacular - "Epcot Forever."

Composer Don Harper produced new arrangements of classic Epcot music for the 12 minute show, which includes "One Little Spark," "Universe of Energy," "Magic Journeys," "Celebrate Hand in Hand," "Tomorrow's Child," "Listen to the Land," "We've Just Begun to Dream," "Tapestry of Nations," "Golden Dream" and "Soarin'."

Along with fireworks, lasers and lighting, the new show features special effect kites, which are propelled over the lagoon by Jet Skis. The kites include both LED lighting and pyrotechnics.

“Epcot Forever” is set to perform into 2020, leading to the park’s next nighttime spectacular, “HarmonioUS.” IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth had its final performance on September 30 2019.

Harmonious was a clip show designed to show diverse voices. It was a product of the moment and ended up kind of backfiring and playing into stereotypes instead. Luminous is significantly better and would downgraded by allowing any of that garbage within 500 feet of it

The song from Aladdin was... problematic. The song from PatF was way overcooked.

Harmonious will forever be considered just a 50th Anniversary showcase highlight but why must some or all of the music pieces from this show need to be forgotten. If you took the music it's no more different than Luminious just fuller than just a snippet. Imagine highlighting some of Harmonious using existing pyro Luminous barges it could give a bit of power and action to improve Luminous perhaps....

Literally people complained about Illumination's ROE for it's dead time, then came Epcot Forever and Harmonious with none and now you get Luminous with it! Which is why enjoy because any ask for change doesn't mean it's going to be changed just saying.

Easy. The Love Letter was from Walt's Vision

That show/tag was for DVC not after hours

Very doubtful. I think they want everyone to forget about Harmonious. This shows already had more effort put in it for after hours events with it having anniversary tag ran as its' own show. With all lighting and fountains too.

I think if they were to do a different After Hours show it’s more likely they would reprogram Harmonious with the new infrastructure than RoE.

DUH!!!! I totally forgot the Inferno Barge!!!!!! Long Week with a Cold and Posting on the Fly!!!

SoFloMagic24 days ago

How would they market that? "illuminations, but with no globe or inferno barge"? Doesn't that eliminate 60% of illuminations?

Andrew2524 days ago

By pyro I meant the large fire explosions lol Can definitely run ROE there easily... just won't have the impressive wow moments from the missing fire

jrhwdw24 days ago

Why couldn't Epcot use Luminous' Barges for ROE Pyro if it's only for After Hours? ROE's No Globe Version should be super easy to pull off. Plus, less dead time in that Version.

Andrew2524 days ago

Issue is that the big "wow" factor of Illuminations were the pyro barges... doubt they invest in one for just after hour events. However, would be an "easy" level to pull if attendance slumps and they run RoE for a limited time.

I would spend an exorbitant amount of money on a ticket if they did this and the show was true to the RoE concept and well implemented.
