A new projection mapping show debuted this evening at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

"Disney Movie Magic" begins 30 minutes before the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular firework show, and showcases some memorable scenes and music from the movies.

The 10 minute show, which will be presented nightly, uses projections on the Chinese Theater, along with lasers and special lighting effects. Movies highlighted include "Mary Poppins, "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Tron," the Indiana Jones adventures and this summer's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

Check out this video of the opening performance of 'Disney Movie Magic".

It’s been there since late February/early March at least. Definitely a show they use for marketing films.

Don't know if this has been said anywhere but a wrinkle in time scene has been added to the show.

Not happening, sorry for your luck.

Any chance the palm trees get relocated? That would be perfect then.

Wrong on both points.

The stage is currently removed for about a week.

There's still a stage there with crud on I think for that ghastly daytime Star Wars show. Also, the park changed names to Hollywood Studios since you last visited.

Looks like they just did.

I'm fine with the trees - it's the stupid stage and the towers on it that I'd like to see go.

It's very brief, but it's there!

WDWmom4May 30, 2017

I haven't seen it yet, but look forward to seeing it! Had no idea Roger was in it :)

The last thing they need to do is tear out more trees and palms. I agree they're in the way but I'd rather not lose them.

Nj4mwcMay 30, 2017

They need to move the palm trees for this show

jt04May 30, 2017

I think it will emphasize the Disney legacy. Time will tell.
