Disney confirm interactive elements are coming to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

When Big Thunder Mountain reopened from its five month refurbishment
back in May of this year there had been an expectation that it would feature some interactive queue elements. It didn't happen back then, but today Disney has confirmed that those interactive elements will soon be introduced.
There are no specific details announced, or any timeframe given, but there does appear to be a hint given in the last sentence - "It’s guaranteed to be a blast!"

"Our friends at Walt Disney Imagineering just shared with us that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland is next in line for such an addition. When it opens, guests will be able to participate in the story of the Big Thunder Mining Company like never before. It’s guaranteed to be a blast!"
