"Much faster at the back"
Posted on Apr 09, 2010 by wdwmagic
Big Thunder has the most dramatic difference between the front and back row of any coaster I've ridden. The front row is very slow, as the train hangs on the chain lift from every drop. On the other hand, the back row is much faster as the rest of the train ahead heads down the drops. So in a nutshell, the back few rows are much faster than the front. So if you are looking for a tamer ride, ride towards the front, and if you want something more thrilling, request the back.
"Always better at night"

Big Thunder Mountain is a fun ride during the day, but an AMAZING ride at night. The ride feels faster and the lighting fills this attraction with life. To top it off, the wait times are almost always lower at night!
