TRON Lightcycle Run beings soft opens today at Magic Kingdom, and as expected, is in very high demand.

The virtual queue opened at 7am this morning and reached capacity in just under 4 seconds. This is a similar timeframe that we still see today for the virtual queue at Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

TRON Lightcycle Run is only available until 6pm tonight, which is impacting virtual queue capacity.

A second opportunity to join the virtual queue will open at 1pm, and anyone who did not make the 7am virtual queue can also make an Individual LIghtning Lane purchase.

TRON Lightcycle Run virtual queue openings

Here are all the TRON Lightcycle virtual queue times:

  • 7:00am (Guests do not need to be in the park when they join, but must have a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom park)

  • 1:00pm (Guests must be in Magic Kingdom park to join the virtual queue)

  • 6:00pm - An additional opportunity to request to join the virtual queue will be available at 6:00 PM on select dates during extended evening theme park hours––a benefit for registered Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels. You're completely right. Idk how it slipped to me that TBA will be opening around that time. :D Of course there's still a small probability that Tron may keep its VQ, but very unlikely.

Well, June is the approximate time frame when Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be open, so this year MK should be busier than June last year, I would think. The other consideration is that once it opens, will Tron even have a VQ any longer? Probably not. The VQ will probably shift to Tiana assuming it is open to the general public and no longer in a preview period. Sounds like people are reporting the preview period will be starting June 9, we just don't know how long it will last. Once it officially opens, at that point, a regular standby queue should be available for Tron so for anyone wanting a night ride, they can just walk up shortly before the park closes. But for mid-June, I would have to guess the Tron VQ and ILL will still be active.
