Disneyland Paris has a new president. Christophe Murphy has been promoted to lead one of Disney's most visited destinations in Europe, replacing Natacha Rafalski, who moves to a new role overseeing Disney Signature Experiences.

The change is part of a broader set of senior leadership appointments announced by Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum.

Murphy is one of Disney's longest-serving operational leaders, with more than 35 years at the company. His connection to Disneyland Paris goes back to the very beginning — he joined the resort in 1991 during its pre-opening phase and has since worked across virtually every dimension of resort operations.

His experience spans theme parks, hotels, Disney Village, entertainment, merchandise, food and beverage, and franchise integration.

In 2021, he stepped away from Paris to serve as Vice President of Operations for Walt Disney Attractions Japan, working in close partnership with Oriental Land Company at Tokyo Disney Resort on guest experience, quality standards, and expansion strategy.

He returned to Disneyland Paris in 2023 as Senior Vice President of Operations, where he oversaw all operational strategy for the resort — including delivery of the major expansion that introduced Disney Adventure World and World of Frozen to guests in March 2026.

Murphy takes over at a pivotal moment. Disneyland Paris recently completed a €2 billion transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World, adding Marvel Avengers Campus and World of Frozen to the resort's lineup.

Murphy's predecessor, Natacha Rafalski, held the Disneyland Paris presidency since 2018. During her tenure, she spearheaded the €2 billion Disney Adventure World transformation, roughly doubling the park's footprint.

Rafalski now moves to President of Disney Signature Experiences, where she will guide Disney Cruise Line's expansion from eight ships to 13 vessels by 2031.

"Disney Experiences is in the midst of unprecedented expansion with more new projects underway across our global portfolio than at any other moment in our history," said Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences. "Christophe has a deep appreciation of the guest experience, extensive financial and operational expertise, and a proven ability to deliver at scale."

Murphy assumes the role by the end of July.

I know Natacha isn't everyone's cup of tea but you can't argue that she's lead the most financially successful era of the park even with a pandemic in the middle of it and has overseen a successful opening of Disney Adventure World. And a more financially successful park = more investment. I also think her new role fits her CV really well. Same for Christophe really, I do wonder if he was always the succession plan from when he returned to DLP.
