Orlando International Airport is expanding its dining and retail lineup again. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority has approved Phase 2 of the airport's multi-year Concession Master Plan, adding a new mix of restaurants and shops to Terminals A and B. The project is part of a larger effort to modernize the airport and improve the experience for more than 57 million travelers each year.

Phase 2 brings a wider range of options, including more Central Florida favorites and several national brands that are already popular with MCO visitors.

GOAA CEO Lance Lyttle said the multi-phase plan supports the goal of creating an experience that feels welcoming and distinctly tied to Central Florida. He emphasized a balance of local flavors with familiar national names as the airport updates its concessions over the next several years.

New Restaurants and Shops Coming in Phase 2

The updated lineup includes a mix of quick-service, specialty, and healthier dining concepts:

  • Bahia Bowls
  • Bricks & Bowls
  • Chick-fil-A
  • Crisp & Green
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels
  • InMotion
  • Just Love Coffee Café
  • Naya Middle Eastern Counter & Grill
  • Panda Express
  • Piggza
  • Sambazon
  • Shake Shack
  • Starbucks

How Phase 2 Fits Into MCO's Long-Term Plan

The Concession Master Plan is divided into three phases. Each phase redevelops food, beverage, and retail spaces across Terminals A and B to introduce more local restaurants, healthier choices, and places that reflect Central Florida's character.

Phase 1, announced in December 2024, introduced more than 40 new locations, including Otto's High Dive, Stasio's, Smoke & Donuts, Kelly's Ice Cream, and 4Rivers. Construction preparations are underway, with openings planned from Summer 2026 through Late 2028.

Across all three phases, more than 200,000 square feet of guest space will be redeveloped.

Previously announced Phase 1 restaurants include:

  • 4Rivers Southern Smokehouse
  • Black Bean Deli
  • Bobby's Burgers by Bobby Flay
  • BrewDog + Peet's Coffee
  • Cabrita
  • Eola Wine Company
  • Green Leaf's
  • Hinkley's Fancy Meats
  • Intercept Wine Bar
  • Jam-Eng
  • Kelly's Homemade Ice Cream
  • Otto's High Dive
  • Maxine's on Shine
  • MOD Pizza
  • Old Jailhouse
  • Seito Sushi
  • Smoke & Donuts BBQ
  • SoDough Detroit Pizza
  • Stasio's Italian Deli
  • Starbucks
  • The Halal Guys
  • The Milkhouse
  • Tobu
  • Villa Pizza
  • Zaza

Part of a Much Larger Transformation

The new restaurants are one part of the airport's broader modernization program. The $5.9 billion Capital Improvement Plan includes major upgrades throughout Terminals A and B:

  • Renovated and expanded restrooms
  • New flooring and seating
  • Baggage claim improvements
  • Gate area enhancements
  • New parking capacity
  • A new gates wing on Airside 2
  • New Gate Link trams for Airsides 2 and 4

I'm excited to see the locations and renovations. I usually fly Southwest, and that terminal is in the best shape for A and B. It will be great seeing the other 3 A/B terminals (and the main terminal itself) getting some much needed love. The 90s subway look is ready for a refresh! And, as a local, it's a fun set of restaurants they chose to partner with. Based on how C turned out, I'm optimistic MCO will be in solid shape in a few years' time.

Awesome! I can't wait for Shake Shack at MCO!

Will these locations be inside security? So much of Terminals A and B happen outside security. I have not been in the old terminals since C opened, which has most all of its retail and dining inside security, which makes much more sense. Thanks in advance.

Most excited for 4Rivers! Been loving it for years.

There are some good options. Stasios, Milkhouse, Otto's High Dive and Kelly's Ice Cream are awesome. SoDough Detroit Pizza and Smoke & Donuts are good, but not my favorites. 4 Rivers is overrate but not bad. But I'm really not thrilled about Brew Dog, since they're A- not local, and B- have multiple credible accusations of being a toxic workplace where sexual harassment is the norm. With more than a handful of good breweries in Orlando, it really surprises em that the invited them to MCO over a local brewer.

You are going to get your wish but many travelers won’t feel the same happiness. In a few years all of the rental cars parked across the street from baggage claim will move to a satellite parking lot. That will free up a few thousand parking spaces for locals looking to find a parking space.

While all of this is good news, the first issue they need to address is the lack of parking available at the airport. They need additional parking a lot more than more dining options.

These will be really nice additions. (Otto's is a personal favorite for cocktails in town.) As a Southwest traveler, that terminal isn't bad. But, the others need some help. Glad to see these projects are moving forward.

Good move. The late 90's early 2000's vibe of MCO Terminal A/B is getting really stale. It's got the dead/dying mall vibe with shuttered retail spaces and food offerings. The airside renovations can't come soon enough. Since I mostly fly United I go through Airside 3 (Gates 30-59) and it is really worn down and dated.

These are great selections to represent Orlando along with the existing Cask and Larder. The new terminal C already has great choices. Summer House has great food and atmosphere for an airport restaurant. Forgot for a minute that I was at the airport when eating there.

Both I believe.

I wonder if these dining options will be at the Main Terminal for ticketed and non ticketed or after clearing TSA near the gates which is only for ticketed. Some airports the dining options are in the part of the airport for ticketed only.
