The Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program is returning, allowing non-travelers to once again access post-security areas at Orlando International Airport. With the relaunch, the program now includes Terminal C as well as Terminals A and B, expanding access beyond what was previously offered.
Shopping, dining, and time spent with traveling friends or family are once again possible inside the secured areas of MCO, even if you are not flying that day.
What's New With the Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program
The biggest change with this return is terminal access. For the first time, approved guests can visit post-security areas across the entire airport campus, including Terminal C.
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority paused the program after its initial launch to review staffing and operational impacts. With those issues addressed, applications are now being accepted again.
How the Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program Works
The Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program allows non-travelers to clear TSA security and enter the gate areas during a limited daily window.
Here's what you need to know:
- Applications open up to seven days in advance.
- Entry times are available between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Guests must exit the post-security area by 8:00 p.m.
- Same-day applications are not allowed.
- Pass availability is limited and subject to TSA approval.
Applications are reviewed at midnight on the day of the requested visit. Approved guests receive a digital visitor pass by email, which must be presented alongside TSA-approved identification at the security checkpoint.
Printed passes are not accepted.
Security Rules and Screening
Experience MCO Visitor Pass holders go through the same security screening as ticketed passengers.
Important restrictions include:
- Standard TSA screening lanes only.
- TSA PreCheck, CLEAR, and MCO Reserve cannot be used.
- No re-entry is permitted once you exit the secure area.
- Guests are limited to one personal item, such as a purse or laptop bag.
- All TSA prohibited items and liquid rules apply.
Identification Requirements
Guests must enter their personal information exactly as it appears on their TSA-approved ID when applying. Accepted forms of identification include REAL ID-compliant driver's licenses and U.S. or international passports. Non-REAL ID state licenses are not accepted.
Photo identification must be carried at all times while inside the terminal and shown upon request.
Visiting With Family or Minors
Minors are allowed to participate in the Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program when accompanied by an approved adult. One adult may escort up to five minors. Minors without photo ID must still be registered online as part of the application process and remain under adult supervision at all times.
Terminal Access Details
Visitor passes are valid only for the terminal selected during the application process:
- Terminals A & B: Gates 1-59 or Gates 70-129
- Terminal C: Gates 230-245
If you want to visit a different terminal on the same day, a separate application is required.
How to Apply
Applications for the Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program are now open and can be submitted online through the official MCO website. Approval is required before arriving at the airport, and guests should not attempt to enter security without a confirmed digital pass. https://flymco.com/experience-mco-visitor-pass-program/
As with the original version of the program, GOAA reserves the right to modify or suspend the Experience MCO Visitor Pass Program at any time based on operational needs.
