Walt Disney World Adds Glow-in-the-Dark Logos to Monorail Fleet

Walt Disney World is adding another after-dark enhancement to its iconic monorail system.

Starting this week, the logo on each monorail train will glow in the dark, creating a new visual effect that builds on the nighttime upgrades introduced for the resort’s 50th anniversary.

The glowing logo feature joins the undercarriage beam lighting that debuted during the anniversary celebration. That earlier update added soft, colored lighting beneath each train, giving the monorail a more dynamic appearance as it travels the beams after sunset.

Consider using the "Wow" emoji for those posts you find "laughable." "Wow" as in "I find that statement hard to agree with."

There is a difference between humorous and laughable. The use of the laughing emoji to laugh at another poster is not allowed. But you already knew that. Please stop doing it.

Different context.

💯%… “Let him eat cake🍰”

I swear people on here refuse to pay attention to any positive developments happening in the parks solely because they rather complain and be negative. When Disney finally decides to fix something it’s crickets.

It's not Ship of Theseus territory, I wonder what percentage of components have been changed out recently

When did the WDW monorail lettering ever match the stripe color before? They were always blue. Why should the glowing match them now?

Electric is produced by carbon consumption… The monorails are many things…but energy efficient was never one of them They’ll be around for a bit. But I’m not sure they’ll even replace the trains…sure as hell not gonna replace the beams if needed

TrainsOfDisneyJun 26, 2025

Well… the monorails are electric and the steam train burns diesel so not sure that’s the argument here.

I can’t see the post(s) to which you are referring (because I have certain people on ignore) but fair warning: using the laugh emoji other than if something is funny (like to ridicule someone) goes against the rules around here. It may go unnoticed. Sometimes you may get a warning or suspension. I do it all the time on FB!😂 But not here.

Indeed. Very humorous that you are not following your own advice by not reading opinions you don’t like/agree with and staying here. Very ironic. And if I happen to post a laughing emoji, it simply means, in my opinion, that I find the related post is indeed laughable. PS: Thanks for taking the time to keep count. I knew that it was in the neighborhood of 72 but was not sure of the exact number.
