UGG to permanently close at Disney Springs

The UGG store in Disney Springs will have its final day of operation on February 15, 2023, and will then permanently close.

UGG opened along with the Town Center district of Disney Springs in May 2016, and sells boots, slippers, and sandals.

The UGG location at Disney Speings is in a high-traffic area, so we expect to see a new store take up the space quickly.

As much as that would make sense to you I don't think it would for either of those companies as they have several locations not too far off property by local standards. There are also some local fabric/crafts stores in the area with Disney items. Also there's a few online stores in the states that have what you're looking for, all of which is great for locals but not so much for tourists

Build A Bear has UK stores, but, what is severely lacking is craft stores. I would love Michaels or Joanns opening a craft store focusing on Disney papercrafts like scrapbooks and card making or other crafts that are licensed Disney goods as well as other goods. Overseas guests would like that instead of boots that aren't that much cheaper because of the exchange rates.

As someone who is, self admittedly in Build a Bear circles a fair bit. I heard some words they're eying up a Disney Springs spot... They used to be at Disneyland's Downtown Disney, and Build a Dino is currently inside of T-REX and makes good business. The rest... eh, I can see Hot Topic maybe, but not Spencer's. Wetzel is already at Springs so I don't think I'd expect Auntie Anne's as much as I'd love them.

Quality varies greatly, sometimes you do get what you pay for

There are so many "Ugg style" boots out there that look identical, is there really any reason to spend the money on genuine Uggs unless you think there's some cachet to having the name?

Tom P.Mar 15, 2023

I gotta admit, I would gladly take Auntie Anne's pretzels over what they generally serve in the parks.

Nah I understood the sarcasm fine, that one’s on my main man Steve.

This isn't just a DS problem as UGG is having issues worldwide. They've closed many locations and I'm surprised this one held on as long as it did

it's okay, spirit halloween is always looking for places to put stores.

Yeah, the danger of sarcasm is that it rarely comes through in print. But apparently the geniuses running Disney have that vision for Downtown Hyperion Wharf Springs. Nothing says Disney Magic like chain retail.

I don't think many people are really desiring any of that list to be at Disney Springs. It reads like a list of tenants at the hundreds of dying 90's era malls across America.

There already is a Sunglasses Hut at DS...my mistake.

The ColonelFeb 14, 2023

Disney Springs still leaves a lot to be desired: Auntie M Pretzels Champs Foot Locker Sunglasses Hut Aeropostale Claires Build a Bear Spencers Hot Topic All the things international travelers can't get back home in their villages.

don't laugh, it will probably be incorporated into the Disney Springs Target.
