The brand new Marketplace Co-Op is now open at Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Taking up the space of the former Team Mickey, the new store is a shop-within-shops concept, showcasing a variety of products in six niche areas. The Marketplace Co-Op is located next-door to TREN-D, and is open Sunday to Thursday 10am to 11pm, and Friday and Saturday 10am to 11:30pm.

The Marketplace Co-Op is the first new store to open since the new Disney Springs redevelopment began, and gives us a hint of perhaps the types of stores that we may see in the new development. The store is certainly a much more up-market offering than what is typically found at Downtown Disney, and is setup to allow the boutiques to be switched out with new concepts keeping the offerings fresh with always something new to discover.

Here is a rundown of the six boutiques and what you can find. Check out the gallery for more photos.

Beautifully Disney, is a beauty destination for women, featuring make-up, fragrances and beauty accessories.

Cherry Tree Lane, where you can get accessories for woman with a passion for scarves, shoes, bags and jewelry.

D-Tech on Demand, a place to personalize and customize your own electronic accessories.

The Trophy Room, a collection of vintage-inspired lifestyle sports apparel and collectibles.

Disney Centerpiece, wide range of home product for guests that want a splash of Disney in their room furnishings, textiles and everyday ware.

Zoey and Pickles, is a girls’ destination containing the latest trends and glamour for the up-and-coming fashionista.

I'm thinking I can't walk out of there with any regrets so I have to get both.

Which one ya gonna get? Me I can't decide between that Frontierland and Tiki one...

Youre going to love the place. It will be first time staying in the princess rooms for us. Were looking forward to it.

Fair warning: check the quality of the screen print before you splurge. The print jobs are inconsistent from one to another. Part of me notices that except for D-Tech, this is the exact same stuff you can find anywhere else. Lots of the merch will end up on clearance in Cast Connection because Disney typically makes silly production decisions, like cups and plates not being dishwasher safe. But I do think this store is a good idea, and maybe (over time) it will be filled with unique Disney merch that strikes the right balance between price and desirability.

Well, you'll probably see some Stitch. The other two though? You're sadly probably right.

Yep, this. And there are also the guests who don't have park tickets but want to do something Disney. Then they go to Downtown Disney. I think it's important to have a balance.

Knew resort specific merchandise was too good to be true... :(

BoltJun 06, 2014

DVC resorts only.

Apparently there are custom phone cases for every Disney Resort! Can someone please post photos of what each style of case looks like? I saw a photo of the Aulani case on another site and it looked amazing but it was hard to make out all the other styles for Boardwalk, Fort Wilderness, etc. I'd love to see them all.

Thanks Steve. Fair warning, When I spend $1200 dollars on those signs in September I'm telling my wife you made me do it. Be prepared for a strongly worded e mail from Mrs. Jones around mid October.

Android may be the most sold operating system, but there are so many different Android devices, making it very difficult to support with cases. With the iPhone, there are only a couple of models, so I think it will always be the dominant device type when it comes to these types of accessories.

Yep for sale

ShookieJonesJun 06, 2014

Oh I just saw some sweet signage in that 8th picture...Is that stuff for sale? or is that behind the counter display stuff??? BTMR and TIKI ROOM??? Yes please!!! If So.....I'm ALL OVER THAT when we head down in September.
