Big Al's has been placed behind construction walls in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, with signage already removed from the structure. The move marks the next step toward demolition of the kiosk, which closed permanently on May 11.
The brown construction walls now fully enclose the former food and merchandise location, blocking it from guest view. The photo taken from the nearby Tom Sawyer Island raft dock area shows the walls wrapping around the Big Al's site, with the character signage that was visible on the roofline now gone.
With construction walls in place and signage removed, demolition of the Big Al's structure is expected to follow. The kiosk sat directly adjacent to the active Piston Peak construction zone, and its removal will clear additional space for the ongoing expansion work.
Westward Ho, the nearby refreshment stand, remains open for now. My Disney Experience shows no operating hours for Westward Ho after June 22, suggesting it will follow Big Al's with a closure of its own in the coming weeks.
The Churro Wagon Cart, also included in the original construction permit filings alongside Big Al's and Westward Ho, has not yet shown any schedule changes on My Disney Experience.
