Permit Filed for Sir Mickey's Ahead of Upcoming Fairy Godmother Visits at Magic Kingdom's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Disney has filed a new Notice of Commencement for Sir Mickey's in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom.

The permit filing describes work to "install scenic and prop elements, and audio and lighting equipment," with the project assigned to Disney vendor Jon Richards Company.

Sir Mickey's currently serves as a retail location for costumes, apparel, and accessories. It also houses a PhotoPass studio used by guests of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique after their royal transformations.

As of this week, the PhotoPass studio is behind curtains, suggesting that the newly filed permit may involve this area.

While Disney has not confirmed the purpose of the work, it's possible this space could tie into the recently announced updates for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Beginning in October, new experiences will include appearances from The Fairy Godmother.

In addition to the visits from The Fairy Godmother, simplified packages will soon replace the current menu of multiple package tiers, which range from budget-friendly options like the Knight Package to high-end princess transformations such as the Signature Dress Package. Disney has not yet shared the exact details of the new packages.

used to be a neat store before the whole princess makeover. just my opinion .
Any updates on what's going on here? There are no times available for the next 10 days, but the only information about it being closed are from unreliables like ITM.

My daughter was hoping to do this for the first time in early November.

Royal Portrait studio has been fully converted for Fairy Godmother's arrival (and honestly looks great, despite the new paywall). She has been seen in the park in preparation - my fiancée and I saw her yesterday on Main Street! I would imagine the experience will certainly be available come November.

The issue is that there are no reservations available over the next month. Usually there are reservations within the upcoming week and there's nothing. Is there anything going on with this changeover that would otherwise restrict reservations (less chairs for the makeover's, etc).

I don't believe they have released their new pricing structure.

Does that also mean that they're not accepting reservations right now? It's not closed, but no reservations are available.

What do you think Sweetums is doing now that MuppetVision 3D is closed?

I don't think they are closed. But I think they want people booking under the "new" pricing structure. You should keep close watch. I bet they dump a bunch of them out all at once.
Disney has rolled out the new *"simplified package options" at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique:

We have a reservation for November 22nd so it is probably fully booked. It has been much harder to book lately.

That looks exactly the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

Disney has just pushed out another update with sample packages and it makes more sense now (its not clear if these are the only packages though):

Here's what Disney previously showed for sample packages earlier today:
Ok that makes more sense. So the cheapest package is up from $100 to $120. Thankfully this will be our last visit before my kids age out 😂 I think it was $70 the first time we did it in 2016.

Nope. Less packages and lowest is $20 higher.
