Disney World's Airport Luggage Transfer service briefly listed American Airlines and United Airlines as participating carriers today, before reverting to Southwest Airlines only.
The service, operated by BagCheck, lets guests at five Value Resort hotels drop their checked bags at the resort before heading to Orlando International Airport (MCO). No airline check-in counter stop required.
Disney's website temporarily showed American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines as eligible carriers, along with a note that additional airlines could be added soon. The page has since reverted to showing Southwest Airlines as the only participating airline. It's unclear whether the expanded airline list was posted in error or ahead of a planned announcement.
Who Can Use It
The service is available to guests staying at:
- Disney's All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney's All-Star Music Resort
- Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney's Art of Animation Resort
- Disney's Pop Century Resort
You must be flying domestically on Southwest Airlines. Disney has previously indicated additional airlines could be added in the future.
How It Works on Arrival
If you want your bags delivered to your resort on the way in:
- Register at enroll.bagcheck.com between 30 days and 5 days before your flight
- You'll need your Disney Resorts Collection hotel confirmation number and your airline confirmation number
- If you register more than 7 days before your flight, luggage tags will be mailed to you. Register within 7 days and no tags are sent, but your bags will still be delivered
- Check in for your flight as normal and drop bags with your airline at the airport
- When you land at MCO, skip baggage claim and head straight to your resort
- Contact Luggage Assistance at your resort — by phone from your room or in person at the lobby — to collect your bags
If your flight arrives after 11:00 pm, you can either collect your bags at MCO baggage claim or wait up to four hours for BagCheck to deliver them to your resort.
How It Works on Departure
- Check in for your flight online starting 24 hours before departure and pay any baggage fees through your airline's app or website
- Drop your bags at Luggage Assistance in the resort lobby at least 4 hours before your flight. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID
- Head to the airport, go straight to security, and collect your bags at baggage claim at your destination
Luggage Assistance is available 24 hours a day. Disney strongly recommends dropping bags the night before your flight where possible.
