Given the short window offered, I’m sure allotment was limited. Seems like a last minute deal they gave to Visa.

Ended up doing this because we’re hemmed in on a trip - in Tampa for a concert 1/31 and in Orlando for a trade show 2/5. Not driving all the way back to SC for 4 days. I couldn’t get any single hotel at these rates checking in Sunday-checking out Thursday. Frustrating. Ended up doing AKL for (now 3) nights, and looking for somewhere else for the first night. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's another sleight of hand trick. They've been doing this for the past couple of years: Obscure the days that the promotion doesn't take effect so that when customers go to check out, (assuming they stay more than just a Friday/Saturday)the purchase total will still show a "discount" with the customer not realizing that they're paying full price for the Friday or Saturday night. It's deceptive and gross because guests staying on property will usually touch at least one or two weekends during their stay and get charged rack rates, while thinking they got a discount, without even knowing it.

I know….but that is actually what’s going on It’s a line they’ve failed to toe…they need to discount because they’ve completely outkicked their coverage….but they can’t really discount because the drop in demand is putting their finances under strain… It’s a circular firing squad at this point

Kind of the opposite of what I am saying.

January-February is now prime Disney Adult (Disney's #1 Guest) time for the snowbirds looking for warm Floriduh weather. It's busier and more expensive to visit Disney in February than it is during most other seasons.

Because they’re leaking oil due to a drop in attendance/demand and have to keep the revenues about redline? …just a thought

Seems as though the Cardholder discount is more restrictive each year. I remember having all of Jan through March available no matter what day it was, not just 1 month and only Sunday through Thursday. Oh well.

Just don't book a stay Friday or Saturday nights. Then you're paying full boat rack rate.
