Disney has confirmed that the Treehouse Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are heading into refurbishment, with work set to run in phases through mid-September 2026.
The announcement comes after Disney filed a series of permits in December 2025 listing addresses corresponding to the Treehouse Villas. Those permits, which list Land-Ron Inc. as the general contractor, carry an expiration date of January 7, 2027 - pointing to a substantial project timeline.
The individual, standalone octagonal structures that make up the Treehouse Villas mean the refurbishment will likely proceed in phases, with Disney taking a small cluster of units out of inventory at a time rather than closing the entire section.
The Treehouse Villas opened in their current form in spring 2009 and were not included in Saratoga Springs' last large-scale room refurbishment, which was completed around 2021. A full refurbishment typically includes furniture, fixtures, and appliances, and in some cases involves major updates to bathrooms, kitchens, or general room layouts.
Disney has also confirmed a series of related closures and disruptions at the resort during this period:
Tennis and basketball courts
- Tennis courts close March 23 for refurbishment, expected to reopen in June 2026
- Basketball court also closes during this period

- The Turf Club Bar and Grill closes mid-August to mid-September; The Turf Club Lounge remains open during this stretch
