View from the top of the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has released the first images taken from the top floor of the upcoming newest addition to the resort, The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve.

The 14-story hotel currently under construction is scheduled to open summer 2021 with 349 guest rooms.

The hotel's top floor will be a glamorous event space with floor-to-ceiling windows - ideal for weddings and gala events.

The hotel will offer its own signature restaurant and bar, lobby lounge, grab-and-go market, health club and pool. Including the top floor event space, The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve will feature 22,000 square feet of function space, making it an ideal option for weddings and small to mid-size groups with additional space for larger groups at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin available within a short walk.

Following the success of Star Wars: Box Hotel with LARPers Inside comes Marriott's bold new partnership with EA, a live action, interactive hotel experience like no other, SimHotel: The Gamecation.

This! And I bet it will command high convention rental prices for receptions, happy hours, etc.

Or a generic video game city.

I’ve played tennis at the resorts during longer vacations. (I’ve also used DVC rooms as a base for a larger Orlando trip that included Uni. Shhhhhh!) ;)

amazed at how many buildings fill the wdw skyline anymore.

Or who travel down in the winter from a chilly northern state. I know I've used the prospect of tennis to try to talk my boyfriend into going to WDW with me.

It just looks off. The colors mainly I suppose, but scale, the juxtaposition Oh well.

No, but people are often so busy in their regular lives that they don't take the time to do things like this, do going to Disney gives them the opportunity.

I think I mentioned it before - having just stayed in a Dolphin room facing the new tower - my hope is this is phase 1 of a larger change. I think they could pull some of the blues, tans, etc. into the color scheme of the existing buildings (without replacing it entirely), and it would actually look quite nice. The interiors of both Swan and Dolphin match the exterior coloring on the wave tiles of the Stupidly Named Hotel. So, I wonder if we'll see a color swap when the exterior of Swan and Dolphin need an update. If that's not the plan, the design is just an epic fail.

I kinda wish that they used the same colors as the Swalphin and then I wouldn’t dislike it so much...even with the same shape.
