A fire appears to have broken out this morning at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. A post and video shared on Reddit show dark smoke rising from the roof of the resort.

According to the Reddit post, the fire only lasted one to two minutes.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort is currently in the middle of an extensive exterior refurbishment. That timing raises the possibility that the fire is connected to construction work happening on site, though this hasn't been confirmed.

Is this normal for Yacht Club?

In all seriousness that area of the hotel is also near the area where they’re doing the construction work for the dolphin convention center expansion. Also it looks very similar to a diesel generator startup. The initial smoke appears to be gray and white before the heavy black smoke appeared into the video. He could also explain why the smoke stopped relatively quickly. As was described in the article a Reddit commentator said the Fire lasted only one to two minutes, that’s really not how a free burning fire capable of putting up that much black smoke behaves.
