Disney's Fort Wilderness Expanding Meadow Swimmin' Pool Area

Construction is underway for a major expansion to the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The project will double the existing pool area and add new recreational features aimed at families looking for outdoor activities.

The highlight of the expansion is a new zero-entry pool and deck space being built alongside the current pool. Once complete, the expanded layout will offer more room for swimming and lounging.

In addition to the pool upgrade, the project includes the addition of a new tennis court and two pickleball courts.

These new facilities will be located near the expanded pool area and are designed to give guests more ways to enjoy the outdoors during their stay.

Disney says The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open for guests to enjoy during the work.

Not too much seems to have changed since the last pictures were posted. Notably, however, a new sand volleyball court has been installed on Clementine’s Beach (near the marina). I assume this is the replacement to the former sand volleyball court in the Meadows Recreation area.

I hope they put in a waterslide, and maybe a rapids ride, a zip line, and maybe a tire swing. And also something that guards against brain eating amoeba.

You can still rent them out I think! Just can’t do the full loop, the area by the construction is blocked off.

Outside of a new, additional pool, I haven’t heard any specific details about the construction at Meadows. Also haven’t heard of any upgrades planned for the Wilderness Pool, unfortunately. Though I believe that the new pool is probably being built to improve the amenities of the resort due to the new cabins.
