Opening in mid-July 2019 alongside the new Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, "Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood" is now open for reservations.

The rooftop restaurant will offer a menu of small plates and dishes inspired by the flavors of Spain, including tapas, steaks, and seafood.

An on-stage tapas kitchen will serve charcuteríá and cheeses as well as pintxos (small plates) and cazuelas (soups). House boards include a cured meat selection, an artisanal manchego cheese selection, and a grand platter of signature artisanal meats and mixed cheeses.

The pintxos selections feature an array of items like Salt Cod-stuffed Piquillo Peppers with goat cheese and toast, Olive Oil-poached Tuna, and Tortilla de Día wrapped in jamón serrano. Cazuelas include options such as Shrimp Pil Pil, Charred Octopus with romesco and chimichurri, and Rioja-braised Chorizo with field onions.

Entrées will include Wine-braised Chicken and steak lovers can savor the Hanger Steak with crushed new potatoes or the Manhattan Filet. There’s also the Rib-Eye For Two – an aged, hand-cut 32-ounce Spanish chuletón for two.

Signature desserts created by Disney’s Master Pastry Chef include Classic Crema Catalana with Valencia oranges and chocolate tuile, “Café con Leche” Choux with dark chocolate mousse and vanilla “nata montada,” and “The Toledo Tapas Bar” – a progressive bite-sized sweet tasting, tapas style, featuring a crunchy chocolate bar with bite-sized flavors of Spanish coffee mousse, chocolate cake, “frambuesa” raspberry mousse, and lemon curd.

The beverage menu features Spanish and California wines with over 75 selections. Other drinks include handcrafted cocktails such as the “Gin Tonic” with house-made saffron tonic and sangria as well as beers and ciders from Spanish and American Craft Breweries, a selection of non-alcoholic artisanal cocktails, and dinner beverages showcasing Spanish coffees, brandies, and dessert wines.

Reservations can be made now online or via 407 WDW-DINE (407 939-3463).

Coronado Springs isn't really closeto Caribbean Beach. Coronado Springs (where the Gran Destino Tower is) is on the west side of World Drive. Caribbean Beach is on the east side of World Drive. The Riviera (a DVC resort) is being built north of Caribbean Beach.

But now I have two new places to try out this year. When do they open?

There are some similarities since they are both concrete towers. One is a good bit taller than the other and very different designs and layout. And like I said earlier they are miles apart.

Having stayed at Coronado springs and Caribbean resort in the last year and seen the near identical construction at a very similar place in the layout of the ‘host’ resorts I think it broke my mind lol

mitchiavelliJan 25, 2019

But now I look closer, the gran destino tower looks nicer.

mitchiavelliJan 25, 2019

I think I see what you mean now. Mind. Blown. They both look nearly identical.

peter11435Jan 25, 2019

This is the gran Destino tower being built at Coronado Springs. This is Disney’s Riviera resort which is being built adjacent to Caribbean Beach.

mitchiavelliJan 25, 2019

Can you show me? I thought all the renderings I’ve seen for a tower were the same tower.

peter11435Jan 25, 2019

When you stayed at Caribbean Beach the only tower you would have seen was the new Riviera resort. Coronado springs is an entirely separate resort located miles away from Caribbean Beach.

mitchiavelliJan 25, 2019

Can you please show me? I have only seen one tower under construction between Caribbean beach and the pre existing Coronado springs.

peter11435Jan 25, 2019

There is one tower being built at Coronado Springs resort. It will be known as Gran Destino tower and will not contain any DVC. It will have a rooftop restaurant named Toledo. There is a second tower being built adjacent to Caribbean Beach. It will be it’s own resort named Disney’s Riviera resort. It will be entirely DVC and have a rooftop restaurant named Topolino. Gran Destino and Riviera are not the same. They are miles apart.

No. I’m trying to be factual. I was at Caribbean beach at Christmas and there’s only one tower being built in the Coronado springs area. It was announced as riviera resort. Then it was given the name Gran Destino tower later. Show me the two towers you’re talking about.

peter11435Jan 25, 2019

Are you trying to be funny? There are two towers with two names that are part of two different resorts.

mitchiavelliJan 25, 2019

No it’s the same building with three different names associated with it. There’s only one tower.
