The bridges at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort connecting Old Port Royale to Aruba and Jamaica will be unavailable during January 2022 for planned maintenance.

The work to replace the bridges will occur between January 3 and January 17 2022, which will also result in the playground on Caribbean Cay being unavailable.

During the bridge closure, an internal shuttle will be available to transport the guests around the resort, and the walkway around Barefoot Bay will also remain available.

Bridges are both done and reopened

I was wondering the same thing. I have requested a room in Aruba and it is probably now closer to walk to the Riviera resort food court than old port royale.

I was wondering if they’d do that again but I think it’s impossible now due to rocks and fencing on all the beaches.

Are the Coke Freestyle machines back in operation? That would lessen the need to move around the resort.

Last time this work was completed, they had a 6 seater fishing boat taking guests from the Aruba beach over to the Lighthouse. I imagine they had something similar from Jamaica beach. It was really just a boat that worked as a shuttle, like a pargo.
