Exterior maintenance is now underway at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, with construction walls up around the porte cochere area as part of a previously announced refurbishment project running through September 2025.

The porte cochere is fully closed, and valet services, ride drop-off, and guest arrivals have been temporarily relocated to the area directly in front of the construction zone. Signage is in place to guide guests through the adjusted arrival process.

The project is part of routine exterior maintenance that will affect parts of the resort throughout the summer. Disney has stated that all resort services, including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation will remain available, though construction activity may be noticeable during daytime hours.

The work at Beach Club comes alongside a similar upcoming refurbishment at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, which begins in July. In addition, the shared Stormalong Bay pool complex remains closed through June 2025 for a separate refurbishment.

I agree. We stayed there in 2021, when some exterior work was going on, but it was much less intrusive! I would not be happy paying full price and getting the current experience.

The work taking place and the large levels of scaffolding are completely nuts! Wow. As a Yacht snob, I would pass up staying here during this long refurb, especially at its current price point.

I know the work is extensive and they're going back to areas they already had scaffolding up a year or so ago, but goodness. Seems like it'll never come down.

Idk if WL is getting a full siding replacement like yacht and beach but it feels like their refurbs over the last 24 months have been equally extensive

Florida sun, heat, and humidity is a killer for building exteriors. At some point just repainting what's there isn't a viable option and more extensive rehab is needed.

I'm extremely fascinated by the amount of exterior work that is happening all over the resort, both in park and out. They're really hammering away at this.

I just got an email basically warning us of the ongoing work as it relates to our upcoming stay in December; doesn't look like this project is finishing anytime soon.
