Rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort will undergo refurbishment starting in mid-June 2027 and running through October 2028.

Disney has confirmed the Art of Animation Resort refurbishment will happen in phases, with one themed area updated at a time.

The resort is divided into four themed sections: Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and Little Mermaid. Working one area at a time lets Disney keep the rest of the resort open for guests during the project.

Disney says guests staying at the resort may see or hear maintenance work in the affected area during daytime hours. Alternate paths of travel may also be in place while crews complete work in each section.

Art of Animation opened in 2012 and is known for its oversized icons and room decor themed to Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and Little Mermaid. The resort is one of Disney's value-tier options at Walt Disney World.

Do you know if it'll be hard goods room refurbishment, or just soft goods?
