All Star Movies Resort to reopen in February 2021

Disney has announced that its All Star Movies Resort at Walt Disney World will reopen on February 9 2021.

The resort shutdown during the original COVID-19 closure earlier this year. No reopening date is yet available for the other All Star Resorts.

Reservations for All Star Movies are now being accepted.

The following Disney Resort hotels are now open and accepting new reservations:

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
Disney’s Beach Club Villas
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

We have two kids and have stayed in both Sports and Movies with them. When we stayed in Sports, my youngest was a baby and was in a crib. We rented a full size crib and set it up in front of the window. There was plenty of room. We also had a double stroller and kept it open, parked between the door and bed. When we went back 3 1/2 years later, we had a refurbished room at Movies. We brought a blow up toddler size air mattress for my youngest, now 4. The only place it fit was in front of the door. So every day we had to stand it up and lean it against the window then lay it down and remake it ever night. We also had a single stroller that didn’t fit open in the room so we had to fold it and slide it under the bed every night. So with the two queens, it was definitely a tighter squeeze but it worked.

One of the queen beds is a pull down table/bed combo.

Yes. 2 Queens have already been done at the other values. It's just more narrow between the bathroom wall and the bed and also in between the two beds.

Staying at Sports in September will be interesting to see what the room is like... although I'm not really bothered either way.

Is there even room for queen beds? From what I remember from my stay years ago, the door pretty much opened right up to the bed. I can't imagine that they can fit in queen beds in those rooms.

And half the people would typhoid or cholera if it was the 1870s History is good for many things…I’m not sure bedding is one of them?

How about the stars? Ps these are the original comforters with Disney characters playing sports. The ones you show are from the first hard goods in the 2000s

People whine about most of the recent renovations. They should be jumping for joy about this. Half of us would wet ourselves if the themed, starchy ‘90s comforters returned. ~swoons~

Surprised they reopened it with the rooms in such a state. New carpets and pillows isn't enough to cover up the dirty 90s look. The positive side of me hopes it was just due to needing the capacity but realistically its going to have been a "Meh, people will still pay for it" moment.
