Magic Kingdom's DVC Lounge McKim's Mile House Gets Longer Operating Hours

Disney Vacation Club has announced that McKim's Mile House, the Member Lounge in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, will now stay open two hours later each day.

The lounge is now operating daily from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, an increase from the original closing time of 6:00 pm.

This update gives DVC Members and their guests more flexibility to visit the lounge during the evening hours, especially as crowds tend to thin out late in the day.

McKim's Mile House offers an indoor break during a park visit with:

Comfortable seating
Complimentary soft drinks
Wi-Fi
Charging cords upon request
On-site Member Services Advisors

Entry Info

Access is available to eligible Disney Vacation Club Members and their guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry requires a valid Membership Card and matching photo ID, and re-entry follows the same process. The lounge is located in Frontierland, not far from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

According to an update from Disney Vacation Club, McKim’s Mile House is now scheduled to remain open an additional two hours - posted lounge hours are 11am to 8pm (previously 6pm).

We were just there a couple of weeks ago, and I was astonished at the number of DVC Employees we counted, 10 total. With that being said, there were about 15 total guests. Some looked like they had been there for quite some time, from the number of paper cups stacked on the table. The theme inside was lackluster, and the feel of the room was like a bad Cracker Barrel that was going out of business. Overall all we prob won't be going back to it anytime soon

Every other timeshare presentation scam in Orlando/Kissimmee promises free/cheap park tickets for WDW-I am betting that DVC doesn't. 😄

This is a good point. Unknowing guests walk up to this place and hopefully there is a CM there and they ask what is this place and the CM says is a lounge exclusively for DVC members, then the guest asks, “what is DVC?” It there a DVC sales booth in there or near by? This sounds like a missed opportunity! Is there any signage on the outside advising that it's a DVC-only lounge? That "Youngins and Outlaws" sign would confuse the casual visitor who's not up on the latest news...
