Nah…not gonna get a lot of dvc to jump on that hook. Which is probably why they increased the “benefits” from last year It’s less laughable now

If people will pay thousands of dollars for a prepaid vacation, then pay maintenance fees on top of that every year, whats another hundred bucks? They know DVC'ers will pay it. Fish in a barrel...

…guess i never really thought of it that way before?… But you’re right: “How do we get people we got to pay years ago to pay more for stuff?…it’s an “untapped market” 🙄 This is usually where someone tries to tell me that their management isn’t terrible on Nearly all measurable levels …not much success there though

Attempt number 2 to hide DVC benefits behind a paywall. Let’s see if it takes hold this time.

Sirwalterraleigh30 days ago

Well…yeah…there’s that too I try to not think about it…the way they’ve handled dvc Is almost insulting on a personal level… And as you can tell…it’s VERY hard to insult me 🤓

These are all things that should already be included with the purchase of a DVC contract. Thankfully, $lappie and Josh decided to save us and removed most perks like these (Remember the discount on AP's?). Now they get the gullible to pay for them.

Pro tip: It’s vastly overpriced in this current environment…hold off until the economy brings it to you…don’t chase it

Sirwalterraleigh31 days ago

Wait a minute…is this an actual improvement? Nah…can’t be 😱

I'm not a DVC member but hope to one day be. I'm surprised you have to pay extra for these kinds of benefits! It sounds like stuff that should be included in DVC 😳

The Disneyland 3 day ticket deal (which I used last June), is a phenomenal deal, and if you use it for OTU points (and I did), it pays for itself right there. The fastpass to the lounge is icing on the cake. With that said, it clearly can’t be selling that well or they would have increased the price.

You don’t get extra points, you can still only buy 24.

Chi8431 days ago

I’m not. Unless you want the extra points it doesn’t seem there’s anything there - at least as far as I’m concerned.

This is why I wanted to buy into it last year. I agree it's not really fair given the exorbitant costs of DVC already, but I doubt this will go away. I'm not wanting it this year, but I'm interested to see if the location restrictions have changed at all. It's a big peeve of mine that they limit availability of these things artificially so technically membership ends up being worth even less.

The 2 for 1 one time use points offer is worth it alone.
