Magic Kingdom's DVC Lounge Gets New 'Youngins and Outlaws' Entrance Sign

A new piece of themed signage has been installed at McKim's Mile House, the new Disney Vacation Club Member Lounge that just opened in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom.

The sign reads: "Youngins & Outlaws Welcome – Hot Baths, Coffee, Meals" and adds to the authentic Old West aesthetic of the lounge's exterior.

Positioned at the center of the building, the wooden sign uses stylized fonts and period-appropriate language to match the surrounding Frontierland atmosphere. It reinforces the boarding-house inspiration behind the lounge, which takes its name from Disney Legend Sam McKim, whose work helped define the original look and feel of Frontierland.

While the sign references amenities like baths and meals, the actual lounge provides:

Comfortable seating
Complimentary soft drinks
Wi-Fi and charging stations
A children's entertainment area
Access to DVC Member Services Advisors

McKim's Mile House is open daily from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, with entry available to eligible DVC Members on a first-come, first-served basis after credential check-in.

According to an update from Disney Vacation Club, McKim’s Mile House is now scheduled to remain open an additional two hours - posted lounge hours are 11am to 8pm (previously 6pm).

We were just there a couple of weeks ago, and I was astonished at the number of DVC Employees we counted, 10 total. With that being said, there were about 15 total guests. Some looked like they had been there for quite some time, from the number of paper cups stacked on the table. The theme inside was lackluster, and the feel of the room was like a bad Cracker Barrel that was going out of business. Overall all we prob won't be going back to it anytime soon

Every other timeshare presentation scam in Orlando/Kissimmee promises free/cheap park tickets for WDW-I am betting that DVC doesn't. 😄

This is a good point. Unknowing guests walk up to this place and hopefully there is a CM there and they ask what is this place and the CM says is a lounge exclusively for DVC members, then the guest asks, “what is DVC?” It there a DVC sales booth in there or near by? This sounds like a missed opportunity! Is there any signage on the outside advising that it's a DVC-only lounge? That "Youngins and Outlaws" sign would confuse the casual visitor who's not up on the latest news...
