The 2011 Themed Entertainment Association attendance report has just been published and provides some interesting data on estimated attendance and percentage swings from the previous year. Disney do not publish any attendance data, so these reports represent the industry's best estimates on the relative state of park attendance worldwide.

The top 5 most visited parks in North America are Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The Magic Kingdom retains its top spot for most visited park world-wide, with an estimated attendance of 17,142,000 guests, a 1.0% increase from the previous year. Epcot saw a 0% change with attendance of 10,825,000 , with the Studios seeing an increase of 1% at 9,699,000 guests. Disney's Animal Kingdom saw a rise in attendance of 1%, attracting an estimated 9,783,000 guests.  Interestingly for the second year running, Disney's Animal Kingdom has greater attendance than Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Typhoon Lagoon retains its position as the world's most visited water park with attendance of 2.058 million, a 1% increase on 2010. Blizzard Beach is at number 2, with 1.891 million guests, also a 1% increase.
