TIME has recognized The Walt Disney Company as one of "America's Most Iconic Companies," ranking Disney at number 11 among 250 businesses that have shaped the nation's economic and cultural landscape.
The honor comes as part of TIME's feature celebrating America's 250th anniversary. The publication highlighted Disney's role in the media industry, noting how the company has brought American storytelling to global audiences.
Disney's Ranking Among American Icons
Disney ranks 11th on TIME's list, placing the entertainment company alongside household names like Ford Motor Company (ranked 1st), Apple (2nd), and Coca-Cola (3rd).
Founded in 1923, Disney is one of the older companies in the top 20, predating modern tech giants like Amazon (1994), Google (1998), and OpenAI (2015).
ESPN, Disney's sports media brand, also received recognition on the list.
