You're welcome! Maybe things are going to get better in the world. First, I had several agreements with @GoofGoof yesterday and now today we've had a cordial exchange! :) Anybody that has read a lot of my posts would certainly conclude that on their own. I wanted to be up front and clear for anybody who hasn't since I was commenting that not very many Trump supporters would actually refuse a vaccine out of spite over an election result.

It’s coming.. just wait a few seconds.

No need to tell us to buckle up. I’ve been in restraints the last 4 years that puts RoR restraints to shame.

Every thing is tedious/tired at this point. Every person...every opinion...the facts...the complete crap. It’s all tired. We all are in the line and the line forms right behind me. However...the actual numbers are what are really tired today when talking about travel and amusement parks...really tired.

As a reminder again, this is not a general political thread - there is an entire section for that. Please try to remain on topic. Thanks

yes, because for the most part, people in this thread have been cordial and respectful in discussing COVID, strategies, and so on. throwing the stupid politics in it is like a molotov cocktail

Thanks for the honesty (sincerely)...but did you honestly think anyone didn’t know that? (Sincerely)

You come here to get away from cynical, bitter infighting? ;)

Where I work they definitely have this for smoking. Everyone defaults to the smoker rate and you have to essentially sign a waiver saying that you don’t smoke and then they give you a “discount”. It’s a huge difference in price. More than double the non-smoking rate. It all happens during the annual enrollment process and each year you have to reaffirm that you don’t smoke. It’s basically a penalty for smokers disguised as a discount for non-smokers. I’m not saying that will happen with a Covid vaccine. Annual enrollment is usually in October setting rates for the following calendar year so they would have a little under a year to come up with a process and rates but if most people have the vaccine by Oct 2021 it may be a moot point.

Sadly, since COVID is entirely tied up with the politics of the last year, it's also inextricably linked going forward. But I do hear you.

I'm sure; I enjoy this thread when it's about Disney, COVID numbers, intelligent discussion. I recognize some elements of politics might get muddled in (like the dumb mask debate; shouldn't be a debate, just wear the damn thing). but i come here to get away from the cynical, bitter, 24/7 news coverage and constant infighting over an election thats been said and done.

he may he been using a bit of hyperbole, and I am a bit out of my element here, but yes, insurance can raise rates on you for being a smoker, etc. What they can't do is deny you coverage

Numbers are out - there were 120 new reported deaths, along with 4 Non-Florida resident deaths.
