Announced last year alongside Citizen becoming the official Timepiece of the Walt Disney World Resort, the new Citizen Watch Mickey Collection is now available for purchase online.

The nine Mickey timepieces that celebrate Mickey's 90th birthday are featured in two distinct sizes, 29.5mm and 40mm, all featuring the iconic Mickey figure.

Four 40mm timepieces feature a flat mineral crystal case in all black with silver indexes, two of which are on a bracelet and the others, a black leather strap.

Two of the styles feature black dials with matte and shiny Mickey silhouettes with his iconic red hue accented on both the hands and figure. The other two styles include a silver silhouette of Mickey ‘chasing after time.’

The three remaining 40mm timepieces are offered on a black leather strap, black mesh band or silver mesh band. The dials are black with transparent Mickey print and face design details with spherical mineral crystal.

Citizen’s two 29.5mm Mickey timepieces feature a black dial with diamond accents and case and bracelet in either stainless or stainless steel with rose gold plating. The flat mineral crystal case is complete with a miniature Mickey face positioned at the 8 o’clock marker.

Inspired by Citizen’s best-selling silhouettes, the entire collection ranges from $295 – $475 and are now available for purchase via citizenwatch.com.

“Since his big-screen debut in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928, Mickey has been the global ambassador for The Walt Disney Company and he embodies a positivity that reflects Citizen’s ‘Better Starts Now’ initiative,” says President of Citizen Watch America, Jeffrey Cohen. “We are proud to honor this iconic character on our new timepieces and continue celebrating moments like this as we build on our collaboration with the Disney brand.”

Late last year, Disney and Citizen also unveiled the new Citizen branded in-park clocks, part of the 12 year agreement between the two companies.

I was under the impression that the watch industry is dying...

Here is my Citizen Eco Drive Mickey watch I have been wearing for about 10 years. I love it, especially because it was a gift from my wife. I have worn out a couple of bands and did have to replace the eco drive battery once (yes they do have a eco drive specific battery, called an energy cell capacitor, but it lasts a long long time).

This is a poor example because of the quality but here's the BTM one. You can go into Google Maps and go around the park to see the previous ones that way.

Do we know if the watches will be available online?

Does anyone have a before pic of the clocks?

Does anyone else remember the art watches with the fun dials they used to have in the parks in the early 2000s? Those were so fun and unique - a lot of the watches currently in the parks feel cookie-cutter. I mean, I would fork over decent money for a wrist-sized replica of the Main Street clock dials or the Cinderella Castle clock. I'm surprised Disney went with Citizen though, in all honesty. They just released a really unique collaboration with Nixon for Mickey's 90th after all.

Its an ironic match indeed.

They had Citizen signage on all of the mile markers for the WineDineHalf a week ago. Unfortunately, and oddly enough, several of them were placed over top of the actual digital clock, meaning I as a runner could not see my time as I ran by. At mile 11, that gave me a very bad taste in my mouth for Citizen and I thought "I'll never buy that crappy product" out of frustration.

I don't mind this, and I'm wearing a Citizen Mickey Mouse watch now, just wish they'd market a couple automatic watches and not just Eco-Drive time pieces.

Has any product made its way into the parks yet? I don't see anything on ShopDisney.com.

Oh yeah, I was only going to the point that they were related organizations, nothing more than that. I will say that I have two of the many Citizen eco-drive Mickey Mouse watches, and find it to be pretty great in quality and build. The bracelet strap on one them is particularly impressive. Tight tolerances, brushed and polished combination in finish.

Yeah, I had done the research and found that it was a Miyota. But, again, even if Citizen owns the Miyota factory, as the watch is unbranded, there was no way to get a company's service department.
