Florida residents can now purchase a Walt Disney World Annual Pass with a down payment of just $99 - 50% off the standard down payment amount.

The promotion applies to all four Annual Pass types and includes 12 monthly payments ranging from $35.15 to $136.33 depending on the pass you choose. All payments carry 0% APR. The total cost of each pass remains the same - only the down payment has been reduced.

How the Payment Plan Works

You'll pay $99 upfront when you purchase your pass. After that, monthly payments are automatically charged for 12 months.

Here's what you'll pay for each pass type:

  • Disney Pixie Dust Pass: $35.15/month after $99 down (total: $489)
  • Disney Pirate Pass: $68.88/month after $99 down (total: $869)
  • Disney Sorcerer Pass: $89.29/month after $99 down (total: $1,099)
  • Disney Incredi-Pass: $136.33/month after $99 down (total: $1,629)

The monthly payment program has specific requirements:

  • You must be a Florida resident with valid ID
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the monthly payment option
  • Your first monthly payment is charged on the day of purchase or shortly after
  • The program requires an installment agreement
  • Monthly payment amounts are based on the remaining balance after the $99 down payment

Annual Pass Requirements

Annual Passholders need valid admission to enter theme parks. Depending on your visit date, you may need a theme park reservation.

You can visit without a reservation on good-to-go days or after 2:00 PM on most days. Magic Kingdom park requires reservations on Saturdays and Sundays even after 2:00 PM.

Each pass can hold multiple reservations at a time on a rolling basis:

  • Disney Pixie Dust Pass: Up to 3 reservations
  • Disney Pirate Pass: Up to 4 reservations
  • Disney Sorcerer Pass: Up to 5 reservations
  • Disney Incredi-Pass: Up to 5 reservations

Theme park reservations are limited and subject to availability. An Annual Pass does not guarantee admission to any park, attraction, or experience.

Pass Benefits

All four Annual Pass types include standard theme park parking and savings on select dining. Passholders also receive up to 20% off select merchandise at Disney stores.

Don't spend that savings all in one place.

There’s a slight savings when you account for the time value of money, but yeah, it’s marginal.

Do they have more levers to pull if they need to if they are really trying to get APs to renew or new people to purchase them?

As a note of improvement, I just renewed our APs for the upcoming year and for the first time was complete via the phone in less that 15 minutes to the point it they were visible on MDE. They have at least improved the process if not the systems integration to the point where the cast member doing the work isn't struggling. Just last year using the AP team it took literally 45 minutes over the phone.

Ah, the good ol' days. ;)

Of course…it’s just banking money upfront And maybe sell a few more pretzels on the lower demand days But in old school…I can remember when an annual pass actually got you in the parks… Even the peasants from Florida straight out of the brick pits

Not sure if they actually want people on the park; the APs have a lot of blackouts and need PPRs; I think they they just want more locals to purchase APs (and not use them) for the revenue.

This is absolutely laughable. If they really wanted to discount APs, they would just do it instead of this silly shell game. -

That scans…because people who have made a lot of money booking travel said they started hearing “discounts are obscelete” around 2017

IanDLBZF5 days ago

That was 2016 if I am not mistaken where they gave away an extra month.

Covid? Absolutely not Remember those 2 idiots declared war on annuals just prior…and have yet to let up

Len didn’t say they were cheaper. He said it was the first step towards making them cheaper. 🤷‍♀️
