A Freeze Warning has been issued Sunday January 18 2026 for the Walt Disney World area and surrounding Central Florida counties as temperatures are expected to drop to 32 degrees overnight.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning from midnight tonight through 9 AM EST Monday for Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, and Volusia counties. A Cold Weather Advisory is also in effect for the same period, with wind chills as low as 26 degrees expected.
Temperatures will reach the low 30s across the Disney theme park area during the overnight hours. North winds of 5-10 mph will make it feel even colder, with wind chill values dropping into the mid to upper 20s.
Plan for the Weather
If you're visiting the parks Monday morning, dress in layers. Temperatures at park opening will be in the mid to upper 30s, feeling closer to the upper 20s with wind chill.
The cold snap follows a strong cold front that moved through Central Florida Sunday afternoon. Temperatures dropped from the 70s Sunday afternoon to the upper 40s and low 50s by early evening.
Forecast Details
Monday's high temperatures will only reach the mid to upper 50s at Walt Disney World, well below normal for mid-January. That's about 15-20 degrees cooler than average.
Another cold start is expected Tuesday morning, with lows in the mid to upper 30s. Wind chills will again drop into the 30s Tuesday morning.
A warming trend begins Tuesday afternoon, with highs reaching the low to mid 60s. By Wednesday, temperatures will return to the low to mid 70s.
No rain is expected through mid-week. Scattered showers return Thursday and Friday.
