The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for Walt Disney World Friday morning, with wind chills expected to drop as low as 26 degrees. The advisory is in effect from 1 AM to 9 AM Friday, February 6, marking another cold snap for the Orlando area.

This will be the latest in a series of cold outbreaks affecting Central Florida, though conditions Friday morning will be significantly less severe than last weekend's extreme cold.

  • Temperatures: Upper 30s to low 40s
  • Wind chills: 26-30 degrees

  • Hat and gloves recommended for early arrivals
  • Consider bringing extra layers to remove as temperatures rise

By mid-morning, temperatures will climb into the 50s. By afternoon, highs will reach the low-to-mid 60s.

Much Less Severe Than Last Weekend

Friday's cold snap will be notably less intense than the extreme cold outbreak that hit Central Florida last weekend.

Last Weekend vs. Friday:

  • Last weekend: Extreme Cold Warning with wind chills as low as 7 degrees
  • Friday: Cold Weather Advisory with wind chills around 26 degrees
  • Last weekend: Temperatures in the 20s
  • Friday: Temperatures in the upper 30s

Cold Front Brings the Chill

A cold front will move across Central Florida Thursday, setting up Friday morning's cold conditions.

Thursday:

  • Cold front passage during the day
  • Rain showers likely (70% chance)
  • High temperatures: Low-to-mid 60s
  • Northwest winds increasing to 10-15 mph with gusts to 25-30 mph

Warming Trend Begins

After Friday morning's cold snap, a warming trend takes hold for the weekend and continues into next week.

Next Week (Monday-Wednesday):

  • High temperatures return to near-normal
  • By midweek, temperatures slightly above normal
  • Dry conditions persist
  • High pressure remains anchored over Florida

The cold pattern that has dominated Central Florida weather over the past week is finally breaking down. Friday morning's Cold Weather Advisory marks the last significant cold of this weather pattern.
