The official Walt Disney World website has a new look today.
The biggest update is the top navigation bar. It's simpler now, with far fewer items to click through. The menu also has a translucent, frosted appearance similar to Apple's Liquid Glass design style, which debuted on iOS and macOS.
What changed in the navigation
The old navigation bar packed in a long list of links. The new version trims that down to a handful of core categories:
- Parks
- Tickets & Passes
- Places to Stay
- Dining
Clicking "Parks" opens a dropdown with park pages, things to do, and links to Disney Springs and merchandise. It's a cleaner starting point if you're planning a visit and don't want to hunt through a crowded menu.
Restaurant pages also got an update
The redesign isn't just the homepage, some individual content pages have changed too.
Restaurant menu pages now use a simplified list format. Disney added a tab system so you can switch between meal periods, like lunch and dinner, without leaving the page or scrolling through both menus at once.
Disney has not commented on whether more site sections will get similar treatment, or how this new look for the Walt Disney World website will affect the mobile app.
