Walt Disney World is upgrading its MagicMobile pass in Apple Wallet later this year, giving iPhone and Apple Watch users a more dynamic, information-rich experience when visiting the parks.
The enhancement is part of a broader update Apple announced at WWDC 2026, where iOS 27 introduces what Apple calls an enhanced keys feature. Rather than a static pass that simply gets you through the gate, your Disney Parks pass in Apple Wallet will become a live, auto-updating credential that surfaces trip details throughout your visit.
iOS 27 is expected to launch in September 2026.
What Is Disney MagicMobile?
Disney MagicMobile is a feature of the My Disney Experience app that lets you access your park ticket from your phone's digital wallet — no physical card or MagicBand needed.
You can use it to:
- Enter theme parks (with valid admission and a theme park reservation, if applicable)
- Check in at Lightning Lane and virtual queue entrances
- Link Disney PhotoPass images to your Disney account
- Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room during your stay
iPhone and Apple Watch users get Express Mode, which means a simple tap at the touch point — no need to unlock your device or open your wallet.
You set it up through the My Disney Experience app, then add it to Apple Wallet. Once it's in your wallet, it's ready to go.
What's Changing with iOS 27
When the update rolls out, your MagicMobile pass in Apple Wallet will show a consolidated view of your day, including:
- Park reservations
- Special-ticketed events
- Important ticket details
- Upcoming trips
All of that surfaces in one place inside Apple Wallet, updating automatically so the information reflects your current itinerary in real time. When you arrive at the park, a notification will appear on your iPhone and Apple Watch — putting your pass and itinerary details right there when you need them.
What Stays the Same
The core MagicMobile experience isn't going away. You'll still tap in at park entrances, Lightning Lane queues and virtual queue entrances the same way you do today. PhotoPass photo linking continues to work as before — just present your pass to a Disney PhotoPass Photographer, or keep Bluetooth enabled in My Disney Experience to automatically link attraction images.
My Disney Experience remains the place to make Lightning Lane selections, dining reservations and other planning decisions. The enhanced pass in Apple Wallet is about surfacing the information you need, not replacing the app.
You can still use a MagicBand, MagicBand+ or Key to the World card alongside your MagicMobile pass — whatever works best in the moment.
How to Get Set Up
You'll add the enhanced Disney Parks pass to Apple Wallet through My Disney Experience:
- Open My Disney Experience and tap the hamburger menu in the bottom-right corner
- Scroll down to Set Up MagicMobile Entry
- Choose your pass style and follow the prompts to add it to Apple Wallet
You can also create passes for party members you manage in your Disney account, or share your pass via Apple iMessage with Managed Guests who have an iPhone.
When to Expect It
The enhancements are coming soon, with timing tied to the iOS 27 release this fall. Your device will need to be running iOS 27 to use the upgraded experience.
