Mobile Order via My Disney Experience has reached an impressive milestone of 1 million orders in just over a year of operation at Walt Disney World quick service restaurants.

The millionth Mobile Order transaction was a Dole Whip at the Magic Kingdom's Aloha Isle, and the guest also received a $500 Disney Gift card presented by Mickey Mouse to mark the occasion.

Introduced in May 2017, Mobile Order allows you to pay for meals on-the-go within the My Disney Experience app, bypassing the queue to order at the restaurant. Using the app, you can select menu items, customize an order and pre-pay for a meal.

Arriving at the restaurant, you tap an “I’m here” button in the app, which will notify the kitchen to prepare the meal. When ready, you are alerted through the app to pick up the meal at a designated window.

Although the line at Aloha Isle, my goodness. Last week it looked like there were more people waiting to do mobile order pickup than there were waiting in the regular line. One of our party remarked that the Dole Whips would probably melt before you would be able to get to the counter to claim your order.

I feel both excited, and depressed that mobile ordering excites me.

I wish they'd roll this out to more locations within Epcot...
